    Some interesting things are also suggested by the stats:

    -> Pedestrians seem to suffer a lot
    -> Driver usually survives
    -> A lot of those that died probably didn’t have a seatbelt on
    -> Elderly are more likely to get serious injuries in a vehicle
    -> Junctions and corners are a common location

    @Kovy
    But the French here want us to take into consideration Rafale’s carrier capability, and it is repeatedly cited as an advantage over Typhoon, so then it is correct to factor in it’s associated cost.

    @BeeJay
    Public spending has gone up.

    @Lincoln 7
    No need for booze with the alcohol content of a microwaved Christmas pudding!

    Defining what I would like is much easier, describing a negative is quite difficult to be inclusive! There are many things which exist and you most certainly would not want to be given, albeit they are very unlikely to be given as gifts, such as a nuke with a 60 second countdown running for example. What would I like? A nice day, turkey, well made potatoes, christmas pudding, a referendum…

    @waghorn41
    Congrats on the job.

    @Lincoln
    My neighbour had one of those Harleys, could certainly hear/feel it going up his drive. Now he has a dirt bike which is almost as bad 😀

    @paul178
    But that denies them the fun of opening presents

    Marcdave, you are very pro-France/pro-Rafale, and anti-Britain/anti-Typhoon, for someone who claims to be from England. Nothing suspicious about that of course 😀

    @EELightning
    Yea I heard it’s ridiculously cold up there at times.

    @Tay
    That would explain it 🙂 I vaguely recall discussions of snow, one of the Canadians made an interesting point along the lines that the snow is good in Canada as it’s actual snow and remains like that, and is only a problem when it melts at the end of the winter. Here we just get snow for perhaps a day, and then a week of half melted snow that turns to ice at night.

    @Breguet
    Still Rafale can’t move hundreds of passengers, fly into space, land on the water without an aircraft carrier or any other things that it wasn’t intended to do. Quite surprising really, because I’d hoped there would be a Rafale that could double up as a blimp…
