hopefully this is the year that secretive beast known as J-10 makes a entry into Zhuhai with a good flying display and static show.
so is the central screen for a LLTV+FLIR display only or can it also
display other materials?
I am sure the RSAF must have done pretty well. their eqpt and training is certainly among the top-10 in asia.
theres a lot of secrecy about this exercise though, unlike the previous ones. also we never heard what those mirages did in south africa.
well the Al Qaeda has been using Motorola satellite phones (invented in USA), email(a US invention), the internet(a US invention again) and planes to move around(again a US invention).
Who do you target for these ? 🙂
well the smart smugglers are best caught with a simple OPV armed with a boarding party, a few HMGs, a 3″ gun and a helicopter.
not everything needs the Tom Clancy flavour 🙂
every govt in such “troubled” regions is co-operating in the
war on terror. some have taken it to extent of shooting up poor illegal migrants and parade them as “al-qaeda” to score brownie points 😡
is it true the 2-seat naval Rafale is cancelled ?
I wonder where the Bush regime gets its ideas of making threats from ? “how to lose friends and make new enemies” lol.
its not about jobs, but self-respect and freedom. the US treats the
EU esp members like france & germany worse than stray dogs in the realm of international politics.
Freedom is priceless
btw the mil-grade signal of Galileo has already been denied to both india & china. so maybe they will jointly fund a revival of the
glonass constellation, this time with worldwide coverage. it is inevitable.
the below happened after EU officially told india in spring this
year that access to mil-std signal would not be permitted. I have
heard nothing about india’s proposed $300 mil investment in galileo after that! or of china’s $250 mil (though they might still stick around in the hope their electronic cos get to make some galileo receivers)

18 July 2004
India and Russia on July 18 signed a protocol to boost co-operation in space including joint development of the GLONASS navigation system and launching Russian GLONASS spacecraft by Indian rockets.
The protocol signed by Anatoly Perminov of the Russian Federal Space Agency and ISRO Chairman Gopalan Madhavan Nair also provides for the joint projects in space exploration.
considering that EU is their biggest market for exports and EU and China their biggest for imports, I laugh when I see statements “will shoot down xyz” , “maintain orbital superiority” 🙂
The Big Dog needs to wake up. other dogs have invaded the forest and have no intention of leaving. collectively they can make life very difficult for Big Dog if he doesnt accomodate them.
Does china have a right to take out GPS sats since Taiwanese Mirages and F16s are fitted with such nav kits ? if not, why not?
ultimately it all comes down to power and might-is-right. the news there isnt very pretty as seen in my first sentence.
didnt the usn crew who took prinz eugen to her atomic death rate her highly?
Navy’s goodwill visit sparks false fire alarm
An Indian military vessel has surprised Japan as it arrived for a goodwill visit billowing columns of white smoke, alarming firefighters who rushed to the ship’s aid.
But the 3,950 ton Indian Navy destroyer Ranvijay was only using its engines, a spokesman for the Japan Coast Guard says.
“Apparently, the ship does that all the time,” the spokesman said.
“But for a moment we thought the ship was possibly experiencing a major fire. People called fire departments about the case.”
Major media, including the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) and Kyodo News wire service, dispatched helicopters to cover the incident.
The coastguard spokesman says no one has been injured and no oil leak has been detected.
Indian navy chief Admiral Arun Prakash said in August that the force urgently needed to replace its aging fleet.

it almost looks like a real cockpit now compared to the mess called the FL.
the USS massachusetts is actually moored in battleship cove in Fall river, massachusetts.
one can visit most of the innards though its quite confusing being self-guided. on the deck a shell that hit the jean bart at casablanca and penetrated 60′ through many decks is kept. strangely enought the front part is pretty much intact, the rear part is deformed and partially melted away. Pretty impressive to stand next to the huge main cannons though..it was written each barrel weighed 90 ton
they even have some AA type gun nests fore and aft right infront of the main guns. hope nobody was there when those bad boys fired off !
hehehe.
for exercise Garuda were they M2K-5 equipped with RDY2 radar or just M2K-C with RDY ? Does french AF fly any M2K-5 ?
