Going by recent statistics you would also need to add to the special cases list the following. Seamen, Farm Workers, oilrig workers, Construction workers and lorry drivers. They are the jobs with the highest risk of death or injury.
I would never condone a special cases list for such things as care in old age; a land fit for heroes would have to be a fair one for all.

Although the emergency services do risk injury and death, they do operate a very strict safety policy in which their own safety comes first, even before that of any individuals that require help. I have seen this for myself in recent weeks with regard to the fire service.

I still have nightmares over my mothers predicament a few years back when she fell ill and had to go into a care home. Believe me losing any inheritance paled into insignificance compared to the rest of the problems we faced.
If you went back 40 years most people now in care homes would have been in hospital wards, and receiving “proper” care. I feel the care home set-up in England is not fit for purpose.

The centre has recently been upgraded. With a trendy new name “THE MITCH” But it does now have a Spitfire wing shaped canopy at the front and Spitfire blueprints as interior decor.

There is a collection of photos on a well known public access photo site, I’m not sure if there are copyright issues hence my traced and coloured in example.
The photos are of official De Havilland, Hatfield, origin drawings, many of them show detailed wiring and other installations. One of these photos has the title info box and is marked Mosquito MKS XIX and 30.
The fuselage drawing is titled “Fuselage Complete” There is no MK number visible and the date though not totally clear is 22/10/43. This drawing has enough detail on it otherwise to make me think they wouldn’t have left any cockpit canopy framing out for simplicity. But it is possible that is what has been done, but the profile of the canopy is different to standard also.

No, the fuselage is the same as a standard F/FB/T aircraft (more or less). There is no difference to the cockpit or canopy.

In terms of performance, it is close to the ‘ultimate’ mosquito, having no extended bomb bay, twin stage engines and so on.

Thanks Bruce, could I ask then what is this non standard looking cockpit? I have made a quick drawing of it below, Im not sure what Mark of Mosquito I’m looking at apart from it is a radome nose like a NF 36.
