How does does the Brazilian upgrade compare to the ex-RNZAF skyhawks that were available for next to nothing recently ? IIRC they were fitted with APG-66 and had a range of weapon options including LGB’s and Maverick
I think it was Volume 3, Issue 01, 1975….Stuck in my memory from reading the extensive article about the de Havilland Hornet that I think started opposite the colour plates of the tempests

Have you got a copy of the nothing ventured article by Philip Jarrett published in Aeroplane monthly? It provides useful background on the Shrimp
Edit: this one…
The best index I have found for FlyPast (and various others) I have found is here:

You can also cheat and go to Alastair’s author page here:

Very useful :diablo:
Air Enthusiast Quarterly Volume 5, 1977 published a cutaway of a Defiant: Boulton Paul Defiant
I’ve found http://www.theaviationindex.com to be pretty useful, but more so because i’m more interested in magazine articles written but the actual pilots (etc) as opposed to the book listed
I’ll then typically jump on ebay and get the magazines for next to nothing. Also find it quite cool to be able to see what other articles the author had written – I had no idea some of the articles by Roland Beamont existed
Heres the link to the Hunters page:

The site can be a bit slow sometimes, and i’ve found it more effective to click on the aircraft links as opposed to doing a search since it misses some articles sometimes
