2)No.this was not mentioned, but with 10 kids, I would think it highly unlikely.
Turns out, by the simple task of reading the article, that she is a self-employed cleaner. At least that’s something and probably a great deal more than most are willing to do.
3) They were not starving in latvia, and are you advocating she should get more than 37K, just to make sure they don’t?.
No, I’m not saying that at all. But they should not be allowed to starve. I have no idea if they, as a family, were struggling in Latvia, maybe you have more information than I do.
As BSG-75 says, a slow news day and a story guaranteed to wind-up the Daily Mail/Sun readers.
A few questions.
Does it make a difference whether she is from Latvia or not?
Does she work to at least try and pay her way?
Do you want her children to starve?
Are you willing to allow the state to tell you how big a family you are allowed to have or to bring into the country?
As a fellow member of the EU, Latvians are allowed to work here, as we are allowed to work there.
Them’s the rules.

The difference is that there is a vast amount of evidence to suggest that the killing of badgers is not necessary.
Pitiful and petty politics + rampant capitalism = dead species.
I think that sums it up.

That same radio 4 interview I heard suggested that the 70% cull might be rather difficult to determine as no studies had taken place to count the badger population in the first place.

Some recent viewing courtesy of Sky Movies and the Trafford Centre Odeon.
Brave (2012)
Disney Pixar latest creation about a Scottish Princess who falls out with her mum. Gorgeous looking, sometimes very tense and often very funny, another wonderful film from the creators of Toy Story and Up.
Take Shelter (2011)
A man starts to see visions of the apocalypse and wonders if he is going mad. Beautifully acted and dark psychological thriller. Well worth watching.
The Hangover Part II (2011)
The Hangover Part 1 was original, funny and worth watching. Part 2 is none of these. To be avoided.
Justice (2011)
Nicholas Cage gets involved with vigilantes lead by Guy Pearce after his wife is attacked. Interesting premise along the lines of Death Wish but with twists and turns along the way. Interesting and worth a look.
X-Men First Class (2011)
Oh No. Not another superhero movie. Oh yes, but what a great film. James MacAvoy and Michael Fassbender face up to Kevin Bacon in the prequel to the X-men. Fantastic stuff.

Indeed but it wasn’t the cause.

And why did they “rush” the gates? Poor crowd control, ancient turnstiles, a ground without the capacity etc.
The gates were opened by the police to relieve overcrowding outside but they failed to control the crowd once inside, thus causing the crush.Even as far back as the original Taylor enquiry, the fans were largely exonerated from blame.
Maybe the enquiry should go further back and ask why some of the recommendations of the Popplewell enquiry weren’t implemented.
What is true though is that those to blame on the day should be seperated from those to blame for one the worst cover-ups in British judicial history.

Paul 178, Al, and TonyT.
I don’t know what your take is on this, but hasn’t NEARLY every War been caused by different Religions?, which has been going on for hundreds of years. IF, we all become Muslims or some other religion, would that stop war altogether.
Jim.
Lincoln .7
Some wars have caused by religion undoubtedly but WW1, WW2, Vietnam, Korea, GW1, Boer War, etc. didn’t really have a religious element in the cause.
