Well that’s good for those that knew. I just wish it been more widely publicized and more might have seen it.
I take it this was a flypast for those “in the know”. I thought it might come this way en-route to Southport but could find out nothing at all. Why was it so difficult to find out its routing?
I would loved to have seen it fly over the place I worked for 23 years but sadly no. Again.
Funny way of trying to get public support.
Many thanks for the kind comments folks. They are appreciated.
I would suggest that even if anyone does know, they are unlikely to say so here.

You can scoff all you like but she is still considerably more famous and richer than any of us will ever be.
Not my kind of music but that doesn’t alter the fact than many people enjoy her music.
I think perhaps the GD section should be named for these.

Indiaecho is right. How on earth could we encourage anyone to represent the people if we we reward them so little.
Those nominating them to a seat have the say over that.
To be nominated you have to put yourself forward. Why would you do that if you couldn’t afford to?
Perhaps the OP would care to answer the point that paying MPs nothing would mean that only the well-off would become MPs. Is that really what you want?

Exactly, I even wondered if I had the date wrong!
At the very least I would think that XH558 would have done a fly through at Woodford, and even Scampton, Coningsby, Cottesmore, and Waddington.
After all, isn’t that one of the reasons it flys, to commemorate the engineering skills that created it, and the service use of the type?
Not much point in flying over Woodford anymore. Not much left there now.
Good idea. That way the only people who could afford to become MPs would be the idle rich. A bit like the 18th century then.
What we should do is pay MPs enough so they could concentrate on being Mps and not have sidelines.

Your original point.
A regular occurence (sic) in news reports is that they think a stall is an engine malfunction.
All I said was that it is an engine malfunction and that you were wrong. That’s all.
I wasn’t aware this thread was an aviation dictonary. (sic)
Well quite.

Oh OK. All I was doing was pointing out that something someone said was lacking in accuracy. If accuracy is not what this forum is interested in, then fair enough.
A compressor stall what it is called and it is often what causes a surge. I’ve experienced a few and am well aware of what causes them.
Why the jibe about the “real world”? What are you implying with that remark?
