I have found the answer –
Apparently a guitarist in the Argentinian rock band Los Violadores is called Stuka.

Subtract the tail, and I think a fuselage without the engine would fit as in the fuselages at the MU. Maybe the fitters aren’t working on the engine as such but removing it – to me it looks like they are securing it to a cradle of some sort.
Wonderful stuff as usual, I really look forward to these updates.
More good stuff.
My apologies – please accept a complimentary vegan non-alcoholic, gin and tonic as an atonement. 😀 A drink I might add that has never appeared on a calendar clad, semi-clad or unclad as far as I am aware.
BTW the 😀 is an indication of ………. ummmm………. I know!! a joke. People are so sensitive these days.
Oh and a further note, great work on the Bluebird.
Perhaps Meddle and Wings 43 failed to notice my 😀
How anyone could ever think for one moment think that I, a very up-to-date thoroughly aware gentleman in his 70s, would ever be so socially incorrect as to condone the sort of dinosaurish ramblings of Bluebird Mike, whose post was so obviously the sad comments of an obviously unreconstructed sexist, specist, and offensive to all minorities and majorities, regardless of their race, religion, colour, sexual persuasion and species, gentleman of declining years (or is that reclining?) is beyond my wildest imaginings. Perhaps they failed to note my comment about the sad demise of humour in our world.
I need a restorative – pass me my vegan, non-alcoholic, gin and tonic 😀
I really think the world is losing its sense of humour. Which is compounded by the fact that those people who have succumbed to that unhappy state seem to be all concentrated in do-gooding occupations and pursuits which appear to have actually achieved some sort of control over the rest of us. So a chap rambles on about curries, foxes and the loss of an iconic (to them) calendar – well he can if he wants. Just as I can lament the loss of humour in our daily discourses. The restoration of the Blue bird is proceeding apace which is good. Perhaps Bluebird Mike could append a suitably worded OH&S notice advising readers to skip a paragraph or two at the beginning. 😀
Fascinating stuff as usual – I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again. This really is the most enjoyable thread to read as I watch the splendid job being done.
Once again thoroughly interesting. Thanks.
Excellent work.
Naah not the KKK – the flight attendants were an ugly bunch 😀
A stern message for Blue_2 – don’t you be letting all this praise go to your head now lad. We armchair restorers are a thrill hungry, fickle bunch so we expect you to be working hard to keep our right to instant gratification a reality – so just keep working. 😀
Looks rather like a garden shed whose foundations have collapsed.
Excellent progress as usual. Good work. That outbreak of rusted metal looks a daunting task to replace but we all have faith in your ability. 😉
“Single-seat fighters would not find it too easy to attack a formation of these machines, even if the fighters had a considerable reserve of speed.”
Clearly written by someone who never had to actually fly in one of these badly misnamed aircraft.
