A buried wing was found. Looks like the wing of a LFIX or similar. Apparently this was at a site where bits of wreckage were buried – a WW2 airfield IIRC.
presumably the same will apply to the F-35 – I doubt we will call it ‘Lightning II’ (shouldn’t that be ‘Lightning III’ in our case ??) – although ‘Dave’ is a great name for it.

Lovely to see another Hurricane – I hope, as more airworthy examples appear, we will see not just interesting markings but really fitting tributes to all the places this magnificent aircraft was deployed.
