Good luck Martin. You know where to ask for any help if you need it.

Tony Underwood is still at easyJet.

Moggy, is that Paul O’grady you are talking about? If so, didn’t he recently try to learn to drive and failed miserably? What hope!

All of Blur except Damon Albarn.
Nicholas Lyndhurst (Rodney) used to have a PPL and David Jason (Delboy) used to own and fly a Skylark glider.
1980’s popstar ‘M’ has a PPL (I flew with him in the early 90’s).

By the way, Helen Young’s husband is a BA 777 pilot.

There have been talks between management and VS BALPA reps about dual qualifying pilots on the 744 and 773 if the CAA will swallow it. Rumour has it that BALPA reps will kick it into touch. Quite right too!

Mongu – probably the cheapest way to get from LUT to STN is to get a low cost (£1 type) flight to another destination which returns to STN!

I thought MAN Air was always intended to only be a set up name until they could finalise their plans.

Purely personal opinion here (and I didn’t see the program)…Swissair has never really had to answer to anyone as they effectively are the Swiss CAA. Independence from the JAA allows them to do more or less what they like. If they want to change from the manufacturers recommended operation there’s no one to really stop them.

Welcome Jethro. It really is great to have such a well informed person on board. What can you tell me about the planned retirement of Virgins A340-300 fleet and can you shed any more light on B777 orders.

    Thanks

OK I’m being really picky here but the new cap is being set at £1.4mill.

The difference is that instead of trying the original tactics of bulldozing these processes through, the governments are now starting to realise they must work with the airlines to establish proper procedures.
