Err…the is EAC not Scandic.
The reason she is being held is purely because it is a reasonable attempt to point out to the public how important it is to get this message accross. Harsh maybe, necessary yes.

I trust you didn’t cross as low as the altitude in the first picture in a single!!! If so you are a braver man than me in mid winter!
Inside information says that EAC are currently reviewing the possibility of 757 operations. Lease prices are cheap, adhoc charter work is for the taking.
JMC wore hats, TCX don’t. Virgin don’t wear hats.
Traffic wardens wear hats!!!
New orders will either be for A346HGW or B773ER. While there is no practical reason for them not to take the A345, there is no reason for them to choose it over the A346 which offers more seating capacity and freight capability.
LOL @ Kabir and Ren! I hadn’t really noticed it before but I guess it’s probably some sort of combination of the abrasive effect of flying through rain coupled with localised turbulent airflow behind the upper edge of the windscreen. Also, just behind this area are usually seated a pair of receding hairlines…perhaps we could use the same excuse!!!
My younger sons godfather (on the forum as oneleft) has done this and gave us some lovely stamps of my boy which we sent out with Christmas cards.
Well said Preston but Cat 2 is 300 meters (550m is Cat 1).
Unfortunately that’s a lot of women for a flying course!
Dunno but it’s mates of mine from TCX that are flying the Air Astana aircraft to Almaty.
Who did the ex-stewardess work for?
Give me RR’s over P&W’s any day.
When you start a jet engine you need to spin it up to a certain rotational speed on the starter before introducing the fuel. If you have a strong tailwind and a weak APU you can end up having to accept a lower speed. At a lower speed you do not get the mass flow of air through the engine to match the quantity of fuel being thrown in so the mixture is somewhat rich and can start with a bit of a bang. To exacerbate this even further, on RB211’s, if the outside temp is zero or below you have to use the ‘rich’ setting for engine start which makes the mixture even richer still. In these conditions you really have to watch the EGT guages to make sure you don’t cook the engine during the start.
When you say ‘mint stamps’ do you mean the gum is flavoured?
