RE: Colonic irrigation!!!
Supposedly food gets encrusted onto the walls of the colon and the decay of this matter is the primary reason for bad smelling farts. This matter also supposedly passes toxins into your system which gives rise to bad skin, body odour, etc.
There are some essential bacteria that are lost as part of the process however these are replaced immediately afterwards by taking supplements and the products advertised on TV.
I have been booked into a spa next Tuesday morning so I suppose I’d better produce a report after the event!

RE: Top Telly :: Collision Course
The first in the 3 part series was about the Southall train crash and showed much more about the actual sequence of events during the 8 seconds it took from first impact to the wreckage coming to a halt. I had hoped that this program would have been more technical than emotional. Good program overall but the emotional dominanace did cause me to turn over to catch the last 10 minutes of ‘Wife Swap’ instead!
RE: Another Flight Report
It depends on the set up of the stand. Some stands are large enough to cope with a 747 so the jetty may not be able to lower down far enough to reach the door on a 146. Alternatively the jetty may be unserviceable so the stand gets assigned to types that have their own steps.
RE: Top Telly :: Collision Course
Thought provoking program. It didn’t follow the course I had expected, which was probably a good thing as that has been done many times before.
RE: “Nude” Flight
The slides have friction strips at the bottom which are designed to throw people off on their feet rather than on their backsides. These would make you very sore if you were in the buff!
RE: Boeing 727 Flies Into History !
So it wasn’t actually built then? Is this actually a 200 then?
RE: MyTravel DC10-30
This is very useful having a graphics specialist on these forums.
RE: Top Telly :: Collision Course
Just in case this doesn’t get pointed out in the program there is one thing that is worth bearing in mind. When the crew shut down the wrong engine (having misinterpreted the reading on a gauge the size of a 20p piece) the autothrottle then automatically increased the thrust on the remaining engine to maintain the aircraft performance. This increase took the engine speed out of the vibration band for this particular problem and gave a false sense that everything was now ok. Admittedly the crew made some big mistakes but it would be very easy to make out that they were complete dunces, which they weren’t.
Here’s hoping for some good reporting.
RE: Boeing 727 Flies Into History !
I didn’t realise there was a 300 series 727. Does anyone know what the differences were from the 200?
RE: Flight report BA8077 LGW-NCL
Ren – I went GLA-LGW in October after positioning a 757 to GLA. I sat next to my skipper on the way back down with no one in the other seat so no it wasn’t me.
RE: Flight report BA8077 LGW-NCL
There seems to be a certain belief that leather seats don’t make you sweat. I remember a few years ago flying to Basel on a Crossair 146 (they daftly call them the Jumbolino!!!) in a leather seat going out for a job interview. I was really tight on time and the aircraft was having a few tech problems. By the time I got there I looked like I’d just had come out of the shower!
If leather is so luxurious and comfortable why are the pilots seats covered in sheepskin?

In Britain we are becoming responsible for our own ineveitable downfall.
