RE: What did you get your computer for ?

I got my first PC for the usual reasons but upgraded to my current 2 gig P4 in order to edit my camcorder movies.

RE: Pic Of the Second – Saab 340 wing view

Some while ago I was looking at airliners.net at the Aurigny Saab 340 pictures and found this one taken at Amsterdam a few years back. When I checked my log book I realised that the dot in the right hand seat was me!

Saab 340 spinners are always a shiny metal finish so that in the event of a nosewheel hang up (with indication failure on the flightdeck) you can see in the reflection if the nosewheel is lowered.

Another bit of useless information from wysiwyg!

There are several organisations (mostly U.S.) that are putting together replicas to make commemorative flights

RE: What the heck, here’s some info about me…

After 9-11 I was one of 55 pilots due to be made redundant from JMC but gradually the number was reduced (and in fact only became zero last week after some guys had spent a year on extended redundancy notice) and I got above the cut line. It was a very difficult time with a heavily pregnant wife.

I forgot I had left a picture of my cat in the bath! We have 2 of these (Devon Rex) cats and they are both exceedingly funny and very ugly (beauty is in the eye of the beholder, ask my wife!). These are the breed made famous by Mr. Bigglesworth in the Austin Powers films and in the picture in the ‘Funny photos’ thread that ran recently. I was too embarrassed to say I had 2 of the breed!!!
