We are contracted to do 750 hours a year, which if you knock off a month for leave means that we must average about 67-68 hours a month.

It’s funny how 2 airlines can utilise their aircraft in such opposite ways! You’re right in saying that a sidestick is not the definitive of being up to date but if you try them both you’ll see what I mean.

Flying up A25 in the Saab was my favourite view. on a clear day the views of Devon, the Bristol channel and all of Wales were simply spectacular.

A mate sent me a quote from Branson just now saying that It will be crewed by existing Virgin Atlantic pilots. I find myself in the most wonderful career choice situation…do I want to continue where I am, fly A380’s or crew the first passenger space service!!! This is one of many reasons why working for VS is so exciting!
