I don’t think V2500’s are due to appear on the A318. The P&W has had some problems although I believe they are now getting close to certification.

Yes I think there’s a lot more to this than is being reported.

Agree with the above about the raked winglets.

A330 and A340 can despatch with one winglet missing but the drag penalty becomes too great with both missing.

I have the items you desire but…I’m afraid they form too much a part of my history to part with. Sorry.

There is not enough interest in the west for any individual airline to go through the cost of certifying them with their respective authority. Unlikely to happen unless the particular type is significantly more cost effective than its western equivalent.

…I’ve heard that the 14 ex Qf Link ex Jetstar birds have been snapped up by Cebu

Cebu have just placed an order with Airbus instead of taking the 717’s.

John, many airports airbridges won’t drop down low enough to attach to a Saab 340’s (or many other smaaler aircrafts) doors.

Not really very helpful to this thread but…I got chatting to a couple of Jetstar pilots yesterday (converting from the 717 to the A320) and they really were very nice guys indeed!

Great pictures Moondance. from the piloting perspective I don’t think there can be much better fun out there than hands on charter work. Visual circling in Greek or Turkish valleys will never be boring. Strangely enough I never bored of watching the cut off T-shirts of the Club 18-30 girlies boarding on a remote stand on a Saturday night Ibiza!
