Ren, assuming that BY 767 was on stand when you took the photo I was about 100 yards to the left and on the next row back.
My company SOP’s define a maximum pitch up of 20 degrees during take off and climb. We frequently hold this pitch angle and could quite happily go much higher.
If the ba5tard gets on your nerves let rip a smelly one…that’ll keep him quiet for a while.
Keep going you two, I enjoy it!

There are 2 reasons for a steep climb out. Firstly not a huge amount of fuel is required to get back to the UK from Innsbruck so the aircraft is ‘relatively’ light. Secondly, with all that terrain and potential windshear it would be standard procedure to depart with full power (ie no derated take offs).
Allen – I saw your aircraft at the other end of the apron from us so I couldn’t get a photo as I never got close enough. We arrived 50 minutes early and departed 15 minutes early. I see you were 15 minutes late! 😉
easyJet spent a fortune on having HUD’s installed on the 737’s in order to get reduced minimums for low vis approaches however they couldn’t maintain crew recency on the system and ended up binning the idea.
Klemm 26 – isn’t that the same design as the BA Swallow?
Moggy, you really should have realised by now that we were all steered to this forum so that Robert could give us the benefit of his experience. As he says on another thread ‘prepare to be educated’!!! 😉
Qhat type of microlight Minidoh? Here’s a picture of my old Quicksilver MX2 from a few years ago. Please don’t tell anyone in the Airliner World forum as I’ll lose all my street cred!:D
I’ll take my little camera with me but don’t expect too much. I can handle a Boeing but these cameras things are seriously tricky!
Ren, see my response on your Tenerife thread.
Allen, if you’re still there tomorrow (Tuesday) I’ll be landing at around 1425z at TFS as TCX18K. We depart at 1525z as TCX18L. Any chance of a photo or two? The conditions might be a bit better than our attempts at GLA! We’ll be in a 752 (it was supposed to be a 753 but we’re running out of them!).
Fascinating, I love seeing how other manufacturers lay out their EFIS information.
Spoke to a mate who is STN based for EZY and he has been told they are about to start receiving 700’s which are being freed up from LGW. Presumably this is the result of impending A319 deliveries to LGW.
