Cracking shots, and your photography seems fine, however the pics look very low resolution which isn’t doing your work any credit.
You might be better loading the pics on to photobucket at higher rez and linking them to the forum.

Have signed up wih photobucket and will trabsfer all my high res pics onto a disc instead ofresizingthem and losing quality. 🙁

Nice to see RAF markings on the Harpoon/Hudson.

The plaque states it’s a Lodestar. I thought it was a Hudson too. Go figure, eh?

lovely 36 pics, can’t wait until I get to see one in the, er, magnesium.

I’ve got a few more (about 100) of the aircaft at the Castle Air Museum. If anyone wants to see them I’ll make up a new thread with a few pictures on.

No, I don’t think so…..if I was that close to a B-36…

…Vulcan…..what Vulcan? 😀

To be honest I was exactly that. I’ve seen the Vulcan fly back in the late 80’s and early 90’s and had seen a few on display in recent yearsbut I’d never seen a Peacemaker. Ding!

Okay, I only took two pictures. Dammit! I spent ages slobbering over the other aircraft taking pictures from all angles and I get two for the Vulcan. Shame on me…

How many are actually in the US?

To my (well, Wikipedia’s) knowledge there are three Vulcans in the USA.

One at the Strategic Air and Space Museum, Ashland, Nebraska. One at Castle Air Museum, Atwater, California. And one at the Eighth Air Force Museum at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana.

Tailspin, any chance of posting some of your pics of her?

I should have a pic or two somewhere. I know I did take a few pictures because I submitted them to a Vulcan website. Whether they were added to the gallery or not is another thing.

I’ll have a rummage tonight.

I visited the Castle Air Museum last year and took a few pictures of XM605.

It looked okay but probably could do with a spring clean and lick of paint.

The next Museum Day at Hardwick is July 20th.

That’s my birthday! Surely the wife will approve. 😉 Aha! She’s working that day. Mwahahaha… nothing can stop me now… apart from my 3 year old not wanting to go. But he loves planes!
