I think ZA195 was a BAe demostrator SHAR for long periods during the 80s and 90s.
I wondered where they had put the Lighter too since it disappeared from the car-park.
Wow. Thanks for posting them 🙂
I thought Sea Vixen FAW.1, XJ481 had been repainted and put on the main gate? Also, thought the Buccaneer S.1, XK488, was currently being refurbished. Seems not a lot happening there! 🙁
The Vixen was not put on the gate thankfully, the last Vixen that did that went to the scrap heap a few years later.
XK488 is having a well earned rest from the elements and having coins thrown on her tail.
Yes! The Hunter T.8M would be nice but I could take the P1127 and BAC 221.
A Sea Fury? LOL.
How did the Sea Hawk look Mr P? It was under restoration here for a while before it went to the USA?
She isn’t time expired apparently, it could be that it, and the other one, need a overhaul before they fly again.
Very nice!
Keep up the good work Neil.
It’s nice to see an ex-Royal Navy Chippie (910) is doing well in retirement.
Excellent photos. Well done.
I have also had problems with my Sea Harrier models – the legs underneath the wings are far too weak to support the weight of the model. Result? – ping. Model thuds into cabinet.
The replacement matchsticks cope a lot better thankfully.
Mustang? 😉
I think the plan is still in place for an arrival at the end of this month/early June.
Kemble have booked her for static display.
Three words – second one optional…
Hawker
Sea
Fury
…oh and a Hunter too.
I think you’ll have to wait a couple of years to see that Andrewman.
Kennet will have some good combinations. The JP1/JP5. The Huey(to come)/Wasp/Scout. The Skyraider/Seafire/Gannet. The two Gnats.
Then of course they have XF515, the only F6A Hunter in Europe, and one of only two left flying in the world 🙂
I saw a photo of Seafire Mk.III RX168 a few years ago – is that under rebuild somewhere?
