I think there are four, two in the UK and two in Canada. One of the machines based in the latter hasn’t flown for a while though and is on display in a museum.

VR930’s engine rebuild is complete, but until they get the special fuel JDK mentions it will not fly. Understandable really.
A Sea Fury without a working Centaurus ‘glides like a brick’.

The aircraft in Solent Sky (the Southampton Hall of Aviation) is in tip top shape and could fly again.

    Lovely things!
In a few years you’ll be able to see all three RNHF examples flying together in formation 🙂

Yes that’s probably right. I think the jet was based at RAF Leeming, but it may have moved.

I would think that it could be a possibility Dave – the airworthy ex-Iraqi Fury here in the UK is up for sale.

There are two airworthy in the UK (one Fury and one Sea Fury) at the moment, both Centaurus powered thankfully.

It’s CAA registration (G-AHUJ) has been cancelled as ‘permanently withdrawn from use’. I presume it’s now in store at Strathallan, and thankfully under cover.

Just last Friday we were treated to the Skyraider from North Weald.

It’s good to hear that the Skyraider has flown again since its sale.
I look forward to seeing it this season.

Well perhaps if the manufacturers concerned know how to make Buccaneers we could have a T22 🙂

Hopefully this will produce a follow-on TT.18 model too 🙂

If it is sold and operated, will it get any airshows?
Winston didn’t get that much when she was in the UK.
