The RNHF lost their Tiger Moth and Harvard in the early 90s when they were sold to raise funds for the newly formed Swordfish Heritage Trust.
The Sea Hawk and Sea Fury will be back this season, with the Mk.II Swordfish LS326 following in 2005.
I’m not sure if Southsea is VR930’s first show, but it’s possible.
Must get around to updating my RNHF site 🙂

XJ571 was discovered in a hangar at Eastleigh Airport with another jet, XJ607. The hangar was just about to be demolished.
All the Hunters
All the SHARs
All the FAA Buccs.
A Vulcan (The Black Buck one)
3 Victors
A Lightning
Plus a Sunderland, Connie and York.
Oh, and the SAR Sea King too 🙂
M
Now that looks fantastic.
Well done to all those involved 🙂
M
When the SHARs depart, the three Heron Flight Jetstreams will be the FAA fixed wing element at Yeovilton!
M
The RN Jetstreams will be around for a few more years, with 2007 being forecasted as their retirement date.
This will probably only be the Jetstream T.2s from Culdrose, the T.3s at Yeovilton would probably stay in service for a while longer.

Yes, the ex-TFC aircraft is now based at North Weald with Kennet Aviation.
As far as I’m aware Over Here isn’t available on video/DVD.
A real shame.
M
Over Here was a classic!
I think the three OFMC Spits were defintely involved; MH434, TE566 and PL965 along with the Shuttleworth Mk V.
Black 6 and Han Dittes’ aircraft were the bad guys.
M
Congratulations! 😀

John Chillingworth and Eric Hayward – both engineering gurus within the classic jet movement.
John sadly passed away a few years ago, he was heavily involved with Source Aviation and OFMC.

I’ve been meaning to visit SWWAPS since last summer, and I’ll get up there for sure this year. Thanks for posting the photos.
Surprised the FAAM disposed of that Sea Prince – there’s not many about with the shortened nose.
M
Do you have any photos of the JPs may I ask?
No Swordfish I see either, ship the one in from Canada 🙂
They are unveiling a statue of the aircraft tomorrow (Friday) on the airport roundabout. Public not invited though.
Apparently a Spitfire will do a flypast over the airfield, not sure which one though?
