    Most eagerly awaited warbird

    For me I’d say :-

    Hawker Tempest 2
Flying A Services Seafire 3 – I saw a photo a couple of years back of it being ground run, and then nothing…
    TFC Beaufighter
Flying A Services Razor back – supposedly stored in a contianer at N Weald
    Kennet Gannet and Seafire.

    OFMC Bucc

Does anybody have any news ideas on the OFMC machine at Scampton, I heard that they wanted to get it up and flying. It might be, however that they are working on it for another South African customer.

I would be great if it stayed and was alowed to fly in the UK

    Coningsby F-4

I’m certainly concerned about the Coningsby Phantom. It would be better if it went to Cosford and sat outside than let the scrapman get it. I know that it duplicates the Hendon example, but so does the Vulcan, and there is a big gap in the Cosford collection for a 70-80’s fighter.

I know there are issues about F-4’s going to private collections, but the RAF museum has sucessfully placed a number of airframes into reputable museums across the country on loan. How about sending it up to Elvington? I know they have been after an example for years, but red tape has so far stood in the way.

Another thought – is the Leuchars gateguard FG1 to be replaced by a F3 too?

    Airworthy Tempests

i think it’s a real shame that after allthese years not one Tmepest has made into the air yet. I know that various projects have been plagued by bad luck etc.

I still live in hope of seeing a Mk2 in the air before too many years. A great addition to OFMC or TFC???

    Sea Fury omission?

I have a query about the John Bradshaw Sea Fury, which is reported as being still at Kemble. Another mag reported that it was once more agina near airworthy status.

This aircraft is also omited from Wrecks and Relics
