Suggestion
Would it be possible for the Mods to ammend the Forum Conduct Sticky to include discussions on crashes to include the dates? Does anyone else agree with this suggestion? Bex
Not a bad guess then, Id been studying your panel & a Viscounts panel and the only thing I could work out that came anywhere close and that Roy would know about would be a Brittania. I like ya idea of trying to restore the panels, I look forward to more. Bex
Ok really wild guess time, Jon, how about a Brittania?
Jon H, from the photo could it be from a 4 engine jet of some description? Id say its a Pilots panel and central panel and on the bottom right hand side there seems to be 2 twin EGT guages……. however I may well be totally wrong and look forward to the correct answer. 😀 Bex
Ending up flat on my backside coz the BBMF had just done a low level pass of my old school that was 1986. Then one before that was same place different year 1979, watching a Wessex fly in and out of the school in awe of the BBW :diablo: Oh before anyone asks, my dad worked at the school from 1978 thats how I was there (mind u I used the school as my own personal play area LoL) Bex
Roy, thats y I asked how Young :p LoL COngrats on the impending rug rat arrival 😀 Bex
Thank you
Thanks guys, my friend has been made aware of your comments, the FAA Museum is not exactly photo friendly thats for sure, especially the carrier exhibit, pitch black until the F4 or Bucc land. The Bucc landing scared the pants off our little one, but, for 4 yrs old spotted that we had a S1 Bucc at Gatwick LoL. Bex
Happy birthday old chap. GOnna spill the beans on how young you are? Bex 😀 :diablo:
Well from the photos I wouldnt have guessed u had a bad time with the wings!!!! I hope mine will be a bit easier LoL Oh I think I’ll need the lens youre after but Im pretty sure my Tiger is ECM etc so I should have plenty of weapons & tanks left over. Have u seen my model selection on my fotopic site? Work table nealy sorted so my 1/32 F4 can be finished off LoL Bex
Hi Pete, firstly TY for the Cranberry bits on Evil Bay :diablo: Ok job at hand then, I must say this lady of yours look great. I have in my pile of boxes a 1/32 Revell Tornado to build, one of the German Tigermeet jobbies so what she like to build? Mine is about 4 or 5th down the line to build but I will dig out the idiot guide for it later to see what will be left over to see if I can help.
Bex
Hopefully you will post pics of the Gannet when finished? (Please LoL) As the weather is appalling here, I have a Cranberry Mk8, the F4 & a COncorde to finish er once Ive dug them out of the junk pile thats my work table LoL. Oh just to be on the safe side to make sure they see ya Delta Frightning, drop Andy & Milton a PM to get their reaction to it. Bex
Hi John, had a look at all your model threads. The kits look great but I REALLY like this modded Frightning. I also note in the background of the first few photos a Trumpeter Gannet kit, is that built or going to be built? Hopefully the link below will take you to my Gannet. Bex

P.S: If u havent built it yet, I found the flaps to be a REAL git 😮
Rebecca,
The gauge fitted later is a TACAN indicator and RATOG is Rocket Assisted Take Off Gear.
😀
Thanks Dave, now it all makes sense. Ive heard of JATO etc but it was the G bit that got me. Must have been impressive to see & hear a Vulcan take off at full chat with RATOG fitted aswell….. awesome. Bex
Nope don’t think so.
Can’t get more official than the pilots notes. Photo below shows RATOG switch fitted to center panel of an early B.2.
The link below is to one of Damien Burkes photos of the cockpit of XM655 at Wellesbourne and as far as I can see where the RATOG instrument / switch should be is a circular instrument instead. My turn now, I dont know very much about Vulcans though I do like em quite alot, could someone enlighten me on what RATOG is please? Bex
Well done, glad to see another old jet get her ticket. All the best. Bex
