Daz and Bex dont get me wrong when I say this as I do understand your dissapointment in school trips but I am glad it wasnt just me that had rubbish trips. :diablo:
Martin, no problemo, I feel the same. Besides Ive still NOT been to Dx yet so its on my list of things to do this year, including your place too. Bex
Jackattack,
Using photos like that, well, what can I say other than they just make your teams hard work even more briiliant. Well done. Bex
The jigsaw puzzle is the TFC’s Bristol Beaufighter.
AH, brilliant, thank you Blurrkup, thats just made my day. Bex
It is a Bell P39 Airacobra and the thing on the cockpit door is a styalised lucky horse shoe and shamrock.
Great pictures anyway.

Curlyboy,
Thanks for that, however, Question 2 was referring to the green airframe above the 109. But, in the confusion thanks for answering what should have been question 3 about the artwork on the P39.
Bex
Lovely photos there Brian, thanks for sharing. 2 Questions, 1. What aircraft is “Brooklyn Bum” & 2. What is the Green Jigsaw puzzle with the Rising Sun on the cockpit side?

08 & 09 October 1953 – London – Columbo was PR7 WH773 Wg Cdr L. Hodges (Pilot) & Sqn Ldr R. Currie (Nav) 540 Sqn.
Bex :diablo:
Forgot to ask this, anyone know if this record has been broken since 1953? Bex
Brian,
Absolutely wonderful shots, even if they were as u say “First use of the lens” and as Martin & Daz say about school trips, I wish I had school trips like Duxford, although, WW1 trenches is hard to beat but well Dux would be on top with that. Bex
Vicky Ten,
Thanks for that, LR Wolf, that was the one, I remember the original conversion course was 2 weeks coz they were a bit lively LoL I must be gettin old (I remember Bedford RL’s in service) if the DAFs are gettin the chop 😡 Ok back to aviation then, I look forward to any further info re the Comrod / Nimet fuselage. Sorry for the diversion folks. Bex
Chivenor is still open, Chinook and Lynx operating there this week
Went from RAF to ATC / CCF AEF & Gliding to Royal Marines Airbase. Bex
I wonder what’s up with the brand new Defender special ops vehicle. Why dispose of something brand new?
Alot of LHD vehicles have been disposed of since Eastern Europe became our best mates, though I am curious as to the desert colours?? Also dont forget that the Landy 90 & 110 series have also been displaced by newer design vehicles, I forget the MOD designation….. help out here Serving friends.. please? Im curious as to the Bedford MJ / MK replacement the DAF up for grabs & the Bedford TM’s too, driven the lot in my day (still got me old FMT600)….. soz gettin old LoL. Bex
Was a GR3 kit I was doing Bex. Time hasnt allowed me to do anything on it yet other than get down to Wittering to snap their gate guard and look on the net to see what detail sets to get for it.
Being 1/24th though all the sets are so bloomin expensive, but as the kit is old and expensive it needs something to sex it up a bit.
Will have a look at the technicolour airforce. Maybe you should ask if Mr V will allow one of his real aircraft to be painted in one of your….errrr….unique schemes? :diablo:
Oh Im doing well on faux pas today Martin, er please dont mention the other one I made earlier….. OR I’ll set Heidi on a repainting mission to the Midlands area LoL As for askin Mr. V, he’d probably tell me to go away (polite forum version LoL) Oh and its her that has the “Unique schemes” and when shes not looking I’ll do a photo of her 737 for the album and what she did when she “Hijacked” my 747 😡 Bex
Martin,
Looks really good, and Im looking forwards to seeing the finished article. Dare I ask how your SHar is going? Oh the er “Technicolour Airforce” is on Fotopic now just for u :diablo: Bex
Ken,
Long shot time, but does a SHar Flyboy by the name of Dan Denham ring any bells? Cant remember the Sqn hes in though, but he joined FAA in 94? Bex
If it does, I’ll see if I can find some photos of his early “Service Career” LoL
dont know about fliers, but WP308 is a ground runner, and was taxied a few times last year.
