What a beautiful airplane.
What a crying shame her future looks so bleak.
I wish I had the funds to rescue her, how many Gannets are there in captivity around the UK?
We’ve got XL472 AEW3 at Gatwick. Bex
Plazz,
Well done today, ok u got her home whats the plan with her now. Bex
Hi Ken,
That looks a really good job there from the photo. Bex
What a waste of a Gannet. Bex
Thank you guys
Wessex Boy,
Thanks for this one, nice to see AA’s lovely lady up where she belongs, and Box Brownie, thanks for sharing the photo. Bex
Thanks gents, I stand corrected & updated. Bex
Fun, well yeah thats him alright, short a*se too. He came back to school the same year as one of our AAC guys, both with Gazelles, and when Dan arrived he went straight up, whipped the tail over to show the bright orange “Fly Navy” sign and the AAC Major just stood there shaking his head. Bex
Oh good, I thought Id put me foot in it again, Im good at that 😀 Oh I like ya website BTW. Bex
A bit harsh? It’s too far for me to travel. That’s not the same thing as poo pooing your efforts.
SOrry I have an overactive sense of humour, it keeps getting me into trouble, hope I didnt offend. If I did that wasnt the intention. Bex
Ken,
Oh u do know him then, yes he couldnt make his mind up to start with and went SHar later on. He didnt go to Uni and was the youngest in his intake. Same age as me, total nutter and is now married now and on about jacking it all in after 13 yrs Bex
Bruce,
Firstly, thank you for your teams hard work and dedication to the project. As for photos, I think that debate will just keep going on. Finally, Im not an expert on Lancaster artwork or paintwork, but in my inexperienced & dare I say it humble opinion, mistakes aside it still looks out of this world.
Thanks again
Bex
Sadly 150 miles is a bit too far away for me to lend a hand… but hopefully you’ll find some willing hands.
Well come on then wot did u have for lunch then???? Also, if u look at our newsletters, theres a nice article about a chap called Dougie who comes down from Bonnie Scotland to play aeroplanes, I finally met him today funnily enough. Ok my friend, next poo pooing answer please :p Bex
If they cut down a large chunk of bushes and made a mount overlooking taxiway would be ideal and as popular as AVP i bet. Anything offsite wont work commericially and BAA are not going to invest £50k of infrastructure for anything less than £10k return a year.
1. theres a layby opposite a very good pub, chop a few trees & bushes, problem solved and Im pretty sure the pub would have a great day and so would the enthusiasts.
2. BAA wouldnt know a good idea / investment even if it bit them on the bum, I know where theres a Herald rotting away coz of BAA arrogance.
3. See No.2
Bex
Funnily enough UPS and Fedex publicly expressed similar concerns before cancelling their A380F orders. I wonder if SRB is playing a similar game here ?
Ere, they only cancelled their orders coz the A380F coz those nice chappies in Tolouse offered them nice deals on brand new A330 instead. Bex
