Pete,
Thanks for the history lesson and prompt reply, wow, talk about luck with saving it and hope u guys are proud of yourselves and hopefully I’ll get to see it oneday.
Bex
Congratulations gentlemen, job well done. How on earth did it manage to survive 63 years? Bex
Les & Ross,
Thank you both for the info, much appreciated as always from you 2. Les, I realised my mistake with WT305 after I read your post, I have a 1:72 of WT307 on my ceiling and assumed with the serials being so close 305 was a B (i) 6. (Yet another blonde moment LoL) As for a model of 305, this will be a challenge and so will the planning, thanks for the paint info. Bex
Les,
Thanks for the photo, certainly an interesting beastie. Sort of a 360 Sqn hand me down fitted with a dusty bin wannabe on the top. Would be correct in thinking that WT305 is an ex B (i) 6? How many where there & if anyone has any colour photos any chance of dropping me a PM as I see a modelling challenge for “Bexs Canberra Ceiling Corner” looming.
Ok silly question time now, anyone know if its possible to get hold of a retired aircrafts service record?
Bex
Excellent news guys, well done. I hope this wont be a daft question, but how many are airworthy / ground runners? Bex
Hi Jacko, thanks for sharing those vids. Hope u guys are proud of yourselves, u have every right to be. Bex
Well the T22 was an interesting bird i must say. Les, Jacko, any chance of a bit more info on “Project Zabra” that you both mention please?
With the T22, does anyone know if the PR cameras etc were left or removed on conversion?
Richy, just a thought, my photo CD I sent has pressure bulkhead photos, they might help with your bulkhead problem, if not mail me some photos and I will try and match them up for you.
Finally, im going away for a week, so no aviation for me 🙁 , see u all Saturday.
Bex
Phixer,
You might well be correct about the T22’s & ex PR7’s. I may be wrong with a blanket assumption, Id read that T22’s were converted from PR7s and assumed they all were, however, Id rather believe someone who actually got their mits on the aircraft in question.
Bex
Typical, she looks gorgeous even as she is, oh well I wonder how many forumites are based at Marham? Hopefully a couple to get us some piccies of the Old GIrl. Bex
PR7 has 2 man crew, nav behind pilot, 2 bang seats and a flat optical panel in the nose. Im restoring the prototype PR7 and all info, rare service photos, cranberry books & AP.101.B-0407 all show a flat optical nose panel.
Richys T.22 & all others were converted from PR7 fuselages.

I gather that trains cannot actually run at these speeds because the signalling would mean that extra gaps had to be left hence slashing the line capacity, is this correct?
Cheers
Phil
Phil,
East Coast mainline has areas north of Peterborough cleared for 140mph running, if I can find my old manuals I will let you know the exact spots. Also although our signalling system uses 4 aspect colourlight signals, for areas in the UK that have a higher speed than 100mph, the 4 aspect signals have a 2 yellow flashing sequence when a train approaches a junction. Also in the 100mph plus areas the signals are spread alot further apart. General basic rule of thumb for UK signalling is the closer the signals the slower the speed. Example, signals approaching London Victoria are very close hence speed is 20mph from Battersea Bridge into Victoria.
