Thanks Ross 😀 Bex
Nice photo Cliff, though its my turn to ask for your help, would you be able to give me the part numbers for the altimeter & artificial horizon by any chance? Bex

I have looked on LesB Tribute site but WH856 is not listed as strictly speaking it is not a survivor just a main instrument panel, But will drop Les a line you never know it may start a new catagory on the tribute site 🙂
It wouldnt surprise me knowing Les, although I would say that an instrument panel deserves mention, specially if the owner restores it to former glory. Les has some old pics of my old girl, and I cant wait to able to send him some decent shots of her looking good as new, but Im on me own so its gonna be a while LoL Oh BTW I have pilots notes for the B2 if that helps? Bex
P.S: Ross, when u gonna come see my old girl?
Daft question CLiff, have u spoken to Les “Mr. Canberra” LesB is his forum name, just a thought. I will certainly have a hunt thru the books Ive got for you though. Bex
yep thats the one 😮
first time i don’t do a quick search before post DOH!
Could always turn this into a Canberra thread in stead 😀
Hey Cliff, this is my usual party trick, I have a habbit of forgetting about doing a search before I start typing LoL. And the more Canberra threads the better, Im sure theres a few forumites who’d agree :diablo: Bex
Hi Cliff,
You mean this one: http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?t=68552&highlight=xv863

Funny, I was about to post my last comment about how it was starting to get a tad stupid, I thought my final comments were valid and based on both historical, Geneva Convention, views of my family and the fact that I was falling into a baited trap, however, if others thought they were not then I hereby publicly apologise. Bex

Well said Albert, my question, who has been hiding this Old Girl away? Bex
If it’s that dirty, it aint looked after. Bit like British Railways trains.
Perhaps the CAA could have a look at it…
And I don’t want it flying over me!
Bri
LoL I worked on the railways for 15 yrs, we worked on the basis the dirtier the train the better it was, the more shiny, the more likely to blow up. Basically dirty less time in depot, shiny tooooooooo long in depot. ANyway, and old bird like the Electra in my view looks quite nice dirty, proves shes working hard. Bex
Hi ya just popped over from the Historical Forum having seen this thread, excellent photos I have to admit 😀 Big Old Beastie isnt she? I also heard this big bird on Monday, a friend of mine is an engineer @ Broughton and when she was doing her passes he rang me, so I had all four blasting down my mobile, it was awesome. Bex
Mark V, thanks for clearing that up, it makes it easier to understand. I must admit though with war time hours included I was expecting you guys to mention figures of 3000 + hours. Thanks again Bex
Martyn, excellent photos, the Comet looks gorgeous, thanks for sharing. Bex
I have 2 questions for you Spitfire Aces, the thread refers to Spitfire Hours, my questions are this:
1: Are you including War Time hours flown in your totals?
2: Does the Hours total include both engine & airframe or just one of each?
I know very little technical stuff about Spitfires but for my interest in military history this thread has caught my eye.
Thanks in advance
Bex
