Very true…I have had lots of B2 grips and it is extremely difficult to find a decent one as the corrosion gets under the smooth plastic covering and lifts it. The BI(8) at least has the decent Dunlop covering. The B2 grips were made in house and normally sport EEP….but I know that you Tim know this, but maybe a reader of this thread does not…right I am off to hang up my anorak and prepare for the dunker tomorrow….yuk!

I know the feeling, ive had to strip off the plastic on a PR7, brush away all the lovely corrosion and all i can do now is paint it shiny black 😡 Bex

I am not telling porkies it really is one I am sure Les B will confirm it, I have a complete column sat just behind me !

Junk Collector, I have a funny feeling I posted my last comments seconds after yours and then got distracted by a 4yr old demolition expert not seeing the funny side of bed time. I do believe you honest and I also have a condition called Cranberryitous LoL. Bex

Despite Damien ridiculing it, this is indeed the right hand grip, i.e. the right ‘horn’ of a Canberra yoke.

I’m no expert on Canberras so I’m not sure of the particular mark but apart from that the sellers description seems accurate to me. I think there were a couple of designs of yoke with a trigger mechanism (which is a standard ‘gun trigger/camera gun button/stores release button’ unit fitted to most fighter stick-tops of the period by the way) in the right grip of the yoke. I thought this type was from the B(I).8 but I’m by no means certain!

Where’s LesB when you need him?

Thanks Mark, yes youre right wheres Les when we need him LoL Im pretty sure its not PR9, but B(I)8 Std or the Interdictor would make sense ( I hadnt thought of that but now u mention it) coz they had guns, rockets & the kitchen sink.

Les if you see this I await your wisdom. Mark, hows ya Hunter going? And Damien, thanks for the witty response needed a chuckle today ta. Bex

Adrian, excellent photos thanks for sharing them. One question, are you following her around avoiding the horrible English weather or have you got friends in the right places? Bex

Cypherous, Im restoring an airframe thats been sat outside for over 20 years and unlike Brunty’s Victor hasnt even been touched so I can well understand the Victors owners attitude of no return to flight for her, no matter what experience is knocking around, British weather is definately not aeroplane friendly in any way shape or form. Bex,

When the previous owner sold WH984 on it was relatively complete inside. Knowing how keen they are at CNAM I would imagine they are/will be restoring it to a high standard.

The previous owners website is still floating around if you want to have a look – it has some photos of the inside etc.

Mark, thank you very much for your help, hmm for a Hunter nut u know alot about Cranberrys!!!! Bex

The Canberra cockpit is WH984 from memory which should make it a B.15.

Oh well back to the drawing board  Thanks for the info Dave

Rob, cracking photos from you and you had some good weather by the look of it. Would you or anyone out there know what the Cranberry Cockpit is, and what state its in inside please? Bex

Peter well done on the quick thinking, but their lack of response also shows a government wide lack of concern my friend. Bex
