Your looking at burning best part of 2000 litres an hour at 90 pence a litre in a Vampire. Even if you can afford a Ferrari its still a good indication of why so many Jet Provosts and Hunters are flying compared to Vampires.

    ???
Are you suggesting that a Vampire burns more than a Hunter?
    Not even close.
Vampire has between 3,000 and 3,500 Lbs of thrust.
Hunter 7,500 to over 10,000 lbs of thrust.

    Camlobe,
As soon as we get the 4th up and flying, very soon now, we’ll have little get together and find a few T shirts.

Thank you too for your experienced hand and valueable input.

I noticed the change from RA-….K to D-FJET and hoped to see it flying again. On the road to the UK was not what I expected…..

    It’s actually G-DLFN now.
She will be flying very soon.

Did Walther Eichhorn sell his L-29?
According to their website http://www.t6-team.de the S-211 was sold a couple of weeks ago.

No, so don’t tell him where it is 🙂

To be used for spares as I heard. What a shame to lose such a lovely airworthy aircraft like that…:(

Apparently not to be used for spares, but a spare. So she will fly.

Andy Hill was he ferry Pilot.

    Hello Steve,

We still have Hunters available for displays, but not as a team as we have changed jet type to fly as a team.

The pilots are all current or ex military with valid aerobatic display authorisations.

    Regards
    Gerald

It’s a shame it’s going to loose that paint scheme. it’s really unusual and eye catching.:) Have the others commenced painting yet?

It will be painted the same as the others and yes, painting has started.
