    No it isn’t, the Constitution & the Bill of Rights appears nowhere in ANY religious documents. You guys need to put the superstition aside & concentrate on reality.
    The fact you guys worship someone who you would be uncomfortable sitting next to on a plane is ridiculous.

    Your knowledge of U.S. history is horribly lacking:

    Beyond that the main reason the majority of people immigrated here was to escape– religious wars– and –religious prosecution– in Europe.
    The first protestant settlement in Florida was wiped out by the Spanish sent by the Roman Catholic church.

    The Constitution was written so that no official governemtn faith could be saddled upon the citizens of the U.S. as it had been upon those of the British.

    I do not know what they are teaching in grade and high schools these days but it is horridly lacking in simple facts and truths.

    I agree some are visited by those who write like ignorant snot-faced punks but there are many others visited by those who write like educated adults.

    Well mack’s attitude is not a surprise as when I was young, into the seventies, I was surprised to find some peoples on the other sides of the ponds actually thought the west was still wild, with raiding Indians.

    RpR. Why am I not surprised at your answer. Perhaps the recent huge upsurge in guns and ammo, you could explain to me/others?————-Buy before they ban it, or more likely before the government/s figure out a way to tax it.

    If the people feel so insecure, then beef up the Police, “To serve, and protect”.————————Police are just people no different from the people they work for. More police just means more laws controlling the people who pay their wages.

    How come we Brits don’t want or need so many weapons, if any, in most cases.————————–Do not know, do not especially care.

    Possible because we have a better system of gun control?.————–No because you have a more draconian form of government with a greater amount of control of the lives of its populace.

    O.K. Lets switch sides for a minute, what if we Brits, who haven’t got all the Amendments as put down and ratified by Congress,but do have a Charter, were able to go out and purchase as many weapons as we wanted, notice I have excluded the word, “Need”, and after purchase, in many States without even a background check, or method to trace such weapons, and are able to do and see some of the things on the Forum I mentioned, and some of their antics, what would you/ and fellow Countrymen think?.
    I bet you would think we were a load of lunatics, well, be honest, wouldn’t you?.

    WHY, would the U.S. even consider containing India?

    Russia, despite all the paranoid hoopla, is not a threat or enemy to the U.S. nor is India.

    China is a true possible threat.
    Russia and India are the only ones capable of containing China.

    So why would the U.S. run the risk of seriously alienating Russia to the point we might actually end up shooting at each other by being hostile to India?

    Well, I think your wrong, judging by a lot of replies to this Post, just admit it, you’ve lost the plot.It’s your right as part of the militia to defend yourself against the Government, come the day, are you telling me that Americas army would shoot to kill an uprising militia?.The 2nd, was at the time it was ratified a good idea, but it’s totally out of hand, and I beleive that’s what some States want to square up, much against the will of the NRA.
    I wonder what their stance would be, come the revolution should it ever happen?,

    No I am simply telling you the Second Amendment gives us the right to arm ourselves against any dictatorial threat.

    Those arms seem to put fear into Washington even though no one is thinking of over throwing anything.
    The mere fact that civilian could and would shoot back if they needed strikes fear into the so called progressives as their disarmament proposals only shows fear of some scenario that does not exist, except in their minds or perhaps threatens their desire for more power.
    They rules would do ZERO to reduce murders and would only disarm the law abiding citizen.

    The National Guard is under citizen control unless a Governor releases them to the Federal Government, except in time of declared war.
    Until 1983 Guard members who serviced National Guard Aircraft did it in civilian clothes because that what they are civilians.

    The pilots were required to wear uniforms but they were just as much civilians as those servicing their aircraft.

    They are still civilians but with the total re-alignment of the U.S. military, especially the Air services, changes were made in dress but not official standard, therefore; the Federal Government would have no control over hundreds of thousands of National Guard troops if a revolution would occur and I doubt they would have all that much control over the Government Armed forces either.

    As a former Guard pilot told me recently, you advanced in rank in pretty much one manner, some one else died or retired.

    Just pop along to the American forum,,,,,FirearmTALK, and see what they discuss re firearms, seems like the lunatics are running the asylam, the way some of them brag about their guns etc. I now see even more reason why I.M.H.O. the gun ownership Laws need tightning up. GOD HELP AMERICA, As for God bless America, I think the Pope should do that right now, it seems like a ticking time bomb waiting to go off, the way some of their members talk.

    OK so now we have the culprit for the ballooning costs of the F-35: swerve :rolleyes:

    It is not just the need for raising profits that push aerospace firms around the world keep developing new and more modern aircraft.
    You seem to assume that DC-3s, Spits or Mig-21s could do what Hercs, Tiffies or SU-35s do nowadays, just because the formers were doing well their job at their time (or even better following your way of thinking even a Spit could be seen as an unnecessary step forward a Gloster Gladiator).
    Oh and you also seem to pretend that there was no need to develop PCs, space programs or the aviation at all. Eventually people lived without these modern devilries for centuries.

    And also some more breaking news: the F-20 program was cancelled some 25 years ago. The Tigershark never got ahead of the prototypic phase, so it could be correct not only to say that it does not exist but also that it never existed, especially if compared to the large number of F-16 sold around the world.
