Beautiful!
The MiG-29K with its coated canopy looks much better than that of MiG-29KUB.

Finally, it took the arrival of the oldest demo-crazy to show the Indians how to properly put stuffs on deck for a photo session. MiG-29K/KUBs arranged on the deck in the most unusual way.
An up date of the advances of the Syrian forces. Russia need to provide stronger airsupport to this area so that the forces are able to move faster. Hope atleast now the experts realise how much important Tabqa airbase was for an advance on Deir Ez Zor…
The Jihadi coalition and their democratic coalition is running along the Euphrates to grab as much as they can and reach oil rich Deir Ez Zor before the Syrian forces and block their route.

Few VKS strikes today near Sukhana, the last major defensive hub of the Jihadis on the way to Deir Ez Zor….
Another failed offensive and loss of precious men. When will the guys ever realise the need for more gunships? A high flying fighter striking every half an hour is not going to cut it in a fast moving battle field. Jihadi tactics as usual – blast their way with a large suicide bombing and follow it with massive attack. Not posting the videos or the pictures of the Jihadis expending their ammo on retreating men and the butchering. All those Jihadi pickups that were hunting the fleeing men could have been blasted away with gunships or on-station armed UAV.
Another thing to note is that radical Jihadis (and the moderate Jihadis) always get good intelligence on Syrian army positions and advances.
Syrian Army suffers heavy casualties in failed offensive near Deir Ezzor border
BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:30 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a big assault in the eastern countryside of Homs, Sunday, targeting the Islamic State’s (ISIL) positions in the Hamimah area, which is located west of the strategic T-2 Pumping Station.
Backed by Russian airstrikes, the Syrian Arab Army’s 5th Corps and 18th Tank Division managed to capture several points from the ISIL terrorists during the morning hours on Sunday.
However, the Syrian Army’s assault would take a turn for the worse once Islamic State reinforcements arrived to help drive back the government forces around Hamimah.
According to a military source, the Syrian Arab Army lost a dozen soldiers in the counter-attack, while another 28 were wounded and/or captured by the Islamic State terrorists.
In addition to the casualty toll, the Syrian Arab Army also lost a surveillance drone and a tank during the assault on Sunday.
ISIL’s propaganda wing has begun publishing photos showing captured soldiers being beheaded by Islamic State terrorists after the battle.
It has been two weeks since the Syrian Army has reached the Hamimah area in eastern Homs and since that time, they have been unable to hold any ground captured from ISIL here.
The Syrian forces have re-started their offensive towards Deir-Ez-Zor and progressing along the highway.

Jihadi coalition is likely to interfere and will try grabbing land before the Tiger forces and other Syrian army units reach the outskirts of Deir-Ez-Zor seige. In the map below, we can see the narrowest point along the Euphrates through which the Jihadi coilation is likely to cross over to the western side and bloick the Syrian army. Lets see if the VKS gets the balls to strike any units trying to cross the Euphrates. Thats what the jihadi coalition did around Al Tanaf when the Syrian and allied forces tried to advance.

^^ Hope you were kidding when you asked about airpower. If you remember, what the Russian guys in charge of mission in Syria did few months before the start of this latest offensive was a public statement that Russian forces/aircraft are being reduced citing reduced fighting on the fronts. Seriously!
That same combat footage from the other side (not Jihadis). Russian news crew were on site and like similar cases earlier, these guys have on most occasion doubled up as medical teams to give first aid to the injured soldiers.
Another of those fighting in the urban areas. I don’t kow why they are still being tasked with fighting in these hell. Better to clear the area with FOAB or use those KAB-1500 liberally.. too many guys are pinned down in this area and too many causalities.
With a handful of jets and gunships the Russian contingent is highly inadequate, even those who don’t want to admit it publicly knows that. With these deployments we are seeing the limits of Russian forces based on their current inventory. What the Syrian military needed most was air power to protect its ground forces from external elements (one of the main reasons why the Syrian forces lost so much ground over the years) and bulldoze over fortified positions so as to minimise own causalities. But the combat air support looks inadequate and these guys are still having to do hardcore close and urban combat taking its toll.
Just last month, the Tiger Forces lost 17 of its men in a single day including a commander during one of its offensive in East Aleppo around Raqqa province. Being the elite unit of the SAA, they have been on their own with little to no support from any VKS gunship. The thinking of the big guys seems like this since they are performing well, let them continue as it is, rather than aiding them with good airsupport (read gunships/Su-25) to make their task easier and advance much faster.
Two good articles worth reading.
North Korea’s Nuclear Push Is Just One Piece of a Nationwide Building Boom
JULY 5, 2017
North Korea’s nuclear weapons program has led to increased sanctions and isolation. But these factors haven’t stopped the country from starting significant infrastructure projects in the last five years.

NORTH KOREA’S ICBM: A NEW MISSILE AND A NEW ERA
JULY 6, 2017
North Korea didn’t just acquire an ICBM out of nowhere. This is a long-sought capability that is paired with an increasingly clear nuclear strategy.

The video of, not so new, Korean ICBM is out. Its looks beautiful, but Topol-M leaving the canister looks much cooler. 😎
Indians can learn few things from the new comers, Koreans, on how to properly do a weapons system. Its impressive what the Koreans have created for their ballistic missiles. What India still does is built a long range ballistic missile and then as an after thought do a TEL. From whatever that has been developed till date, there has been no signs of an integrated thought process in creating a strategic weapons system. Rather they create a long ranger and then pull out a tractor trailer to haul the missiles. That need to change.
Finally we see the real Korean stuff that was first paraded in 2012 and which many experts dismissed as just a wooden display model. Looks beautiful and neat, much better than the first displayed demo piece.
Most probably this is the real stuff and the missile which will be canistered in the near future. Or maybe a solid fueled version before that?

The range for this 2,802Km and 933Km trajectory for this flight has been quoted as upto 6,700Km and even upto 8,000Km.
The SAA and allies completely blocking the jihadi coilation advance towards Der-Ez-Zor have created much rear pain that the jihadis are desperately trying to delay the Syrian forces advance in whatever areas they can. Shooting down of Syrian Su-22 was out of that desperation, to halt the Syrians from gaining any more gorund.

In response to the shoot down (2 x AIM-9X fired – 1 missed and 1 hit the rear end of Su-22 as per reports) ….
…the Russian response was as usual very boring – “any aircraft west of Euphrates”, meaning status-quo. The Jihadis can launch their missiles on Syrian forces without crossing the Eupharates. There wont be any change in situation unless Russia commits fully to the security of the Syrian forces by enlarging their air force contingent or allowing the Iranians and Syrians to buy fighter/strike aircrafts and AD missiles to protect themselves. The present airforce inventory of Russia is highly inadequate for the job at hand.
The most important statement came from the Iranians in the form of SSM launch at Deir-Ez-Zor. All concerned parties supporting the Jihadis inside Syria definitely have taken notice of that launch. The message was simply to say that though Iran does not have any airforce inside Syria, they can very well hit jihadi coalition training/supply bases inside and around Syria if Iranian/allied forces are targeted.
Good videos and feels good when you get peoples participation. Booster separation to the end, second video shot from Chennai have a better angle during booster separation and we see the main stage continuing.
couple of good videos
Now that the school kid got some handy stuffs to give a bloody nose to the school bully who ended the last fight with the threat of using 30 or so nuclear weapons, the school bully is now complaining about the little boy and his nuclear shield.
Btw, here is a good docu by two Aussie guys and their Korean visit.
The Korean hardwares in order of their appearance during the past month.
The Korean long range AD missile
Yesterday they test fired coastal anti-ship missiles similar to the Kh-35, pics and videos are likely to be out in couple of days.
