not seen the serial on channel4 but it is a follow on from , a very low production cost british film superb for it though !!
the plot for the series is catching up with the charachters 4 yrs on ( so probably more understandable if you saw the film first )
i’ll have to catch the next as it is very watchable
channel 4 has decided to spend big brothers budget on drama ( best move ever ) so even if ones bad it is still more watchable than big brother ( wich is presently getting the **** kicked out of it seems to be on more often than the adverts !!

Personally (and I can’t be the only one) I think TG is quality viewing, the filming is both dramatic and imagineative
the filming artisticly is second to none !!
the filming of the arabian horse being ridden in the sand dunes was the best i have ever seen of that subject
the road trips are awesome ( sadly missed last series ) vietnam in particular giving some rare glimpses of the other sides perspective of the war
the scenery filming has surpassed any travel show or nature programmes i have seen
doing more to encourage me to visit such places
people realy do miss the point thinking it is a motoring show
it is if anything a lifestyle show with cars thrown in
and if in reality as a chap you can never say you hung around as a group of three lads and all three of you were one of the top gear personality types
you didn’t live !!! it is a given with a group of 3 lads
psychologicaly what they are using for viewing figures ( blokes identify with it )

I can indeed turn the television off. Can I also have a refund of the contribution I make through the License Fee which allows the BBC to make such drivel please?
Regards,

the licence fee does not merely cover the bbc though
a huge investment from it recently has gone towards digital conversion !!!

Some commentators believe that it is only Ford’s iconic status which is allowing it to keep operating in the current climate.
“If the name wasn’t Ford, it would be filing for bankruptcy by now,” says outspoken credit ratings analyst Sean Egan.
Ford’s chairman and chief executive is Bill Ford Jr, the grandson of the company’s founder.
He takes a less pessimistic view, but admits that the company’s problems need to be addressed.
“We have to have a new approach to healthcare, because there is no bigger issue facing us as we go forward,” he says.
The coming year will be vital for the Ford Motor company.
If it can revitalise its car business and fight off the challenge of its Asian rivals, then it could still have a bright future.
If not, it may be on the road to nowhere.

Possibly, but I have an ND in the world of telly and did long enough work experiences with the BBC and Ch4 to know that ‘truth’ can have many meanings in media!
Is there a link to the producers comments?
i was once in a job where we were blatantly told the police inspector visits the newspaper offices once a week before the paper is released
to give clearance to what they want printed ( not necessarily what you want to know )

Thankyou Mr Boyle, always wondered how it worked.
I guess then there is a central data base the police can access regardless of which state the vehicle enters?
