Here’s a couple for you

I too would like to add my thanks to Russell and his team for a great day and the opportunity to get up close and personal with XS458.
I would wholeheartedly recommend the day to everyone!

There are lots more photo’s of this lovely lady in the Airshow Photos section:

And a few more!

Hi Skybert,
I believe you’re refering to the ‘Volandia’ which is being built at the site of the old Caproni Warehouses. The full site is still being developed, but they opened a small taster of it which is what was covered in the magazine. There is some more information on the project on these sites:

I hope that helps

Hi Alex,
They’re taken from the flightline, down at the left hand end (Eastern?) i.e. face the runway and walk to the your left!
It’s not a bad place to view the show from as it’s a lot less crowded and you can get some good take-off or landing shots depending on which runway is in use, but it is a long way from the centre of the display line.
Hope that helps!
Geoff
There was a show there earlier in the summer – classic vehicles and aircraft and a ‘Glenn Miller’ style dance. It was the same day as the England/Portugal game so I didn’t go down there, but I kept leaving the TV to rush into the garden to see what was flying about. There were a couple of Spitfire displays and a number of Stearman’s displaying as well, so while we might not see anything ‘interesting’ based there I guess there’s always the chance of a repeat of the show. If so, I think I’ll get myself down there 🙂
At least now I know what it’s called as well
Thanks for the kind words; glad you like the photo’s. If you’re interested there are some more here: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v249/gspinks/2006/Airshows/La%20Ferte%20Alais%20-%203rd%20June/
It was a great display and the weather certainly made a nice change from last year!
Thanks for looking
And the last few.

Thanks for looking
Last few from the first lot

Hopefully I’ll have some more from the rest of the display soon!
Thanks for the comments. All shot with the Canon 20D & 100-400L combination.
And the last few
And then after a 40 minute taxi ride I also ‘accidentally stumbled’ over the Museo del Aire 😀
And the final few

And the last few..
