Can our Israeli friends tell us how many F-4s, A-4s, and Kfirs Israel could upgrade and sell to an interested country.

The F-15 Video is really good too. I think at the end of that F-15 video the pilot takes a shot at a target who starts letting flairs go like crazy and the missile gets confused and misses. Am I correct on thinking that?

Phantom II you may not want to watch the F-15 video since they are using F-4 as targets. 😀

Land based?? Are there any missile silos left. All the ones in North Dakota that I have seen have been blown up and filled with sand.

“range and payload which are not that important for Greece.”

I think those are two very important factors in a fighter and so does Greece.

    Why not buy both?

Buy the Rafale to replace the A-7 and the Typhoon to replace the F-4. Greece would then operate the Rafale, Typhoon, Mirage 2000, & the F-16. A nice little force.

I bought a gun from Gun Broker. It is a great gun and I got a really good deal on it. I recommend the site.

“the ‘no brainer’ is how the US has always have to find an ‘enemy’, first it was the soveits, when the USSR collaps, it became the chinese.”

I have to respectfully disagree. The US has always supported Taiwan against China and has vowed to fight for Taiwan against China. You are saying that the US has just started viewing China as an enemy since 1991.

Does India already operate some Mirage 2000Ds? I thought I remember reading some where they the bought 12 of them but I have not heard anything lately.

I am surprised to see that Belarus has so many frogfoots..

I do not think Belarus has that many Mig-29s since they sold them to other countries.

King Cobra would be the smart idea but since politics are involved I am sure they will go for the Apache.

“But suddenly when relations with NATO and the EU presumably improve they will suddenly need them? I wonder why?”

I don’t care if relations between Serbia and NATO or EU improve. I just think it is logical to get Serbia’s industry involved in the MAKO project. This would give Serbia an advanced trainer and a fighter capability. Then in the future when the economy is stronger then Serbia should go for a high tech fighter to protect her land. Her pilots would also be ready for those new fighters because they would have been flying in the MAKO for a number of years.

“Sounds to me like you think Serbia doesn’t need any weapons at all now while it is no exactly a friend, but later when it becomes an ally it will need some very expensive fighters.”

Sounds like to me you need to read posts more carefully. I posted that Serbia should upgrade her G-4 and J-22 fleet and get involved in the MAKO project. Then in the future when Serbia is in a better situation with money they should purchase more advanced fighters to defend her borders.

“Gee whiz, sounds like you have your priorities straight.”

Sounds like you don’t know anything you are talking about but as everyone on this forum can see you sure do like to butcher other peoples posts to change their words around and leave out parts to get what you want out of them.

“Yes, of course, an airforce consists ONLY of fighters, that is right, I forgot. Maritime Patrol aircraft, Transport types, they aren’t real aircraft… the only pilots are fighter pilots and an airforce consists only of fighter aircraft.”

I am sure your homeland will get rid of those assets soon enough. I bet those transports and patrol aircraft would be able to protect your borders in any conflict. Just because your country doesn’t feel it is worth protecting doesn’t mean other countries need to feel that way.

“So why is it that Serbia in your opinion is not allowed an airforce?”

How about you read my damn posts. First, I advocate upgrading their J-22s and their G-4s and to even become partners in the MAKO project. Then I advocate that Serbia should purchase some Typhoons and some Rafales in the future when their economy recovers and then you dare say that I think Serbia should not be allowed to have an airforce??? Garry, everyone can see through your bullsh!t and lies.

“Yes, of course… just say the word and Serbia will have ASRAAM and AMRAAM in her weapon stocks…. NOT.”

 I said that the aircraft is capable of carrying those weapons. I never said Serbia would be able to get those weapons.

If Serbia did acquire the MEKO then I think the more probable weapons Serbia would purchase would be the two MICA missiles or Derby and the Python series of missiles. I also agree that Serbia does not need fighters. That is why the MEKO is a great choice. It is an advanced trainer with good fighter capabilities. So for the money Serbia would be getting an advanced trainer to train her pilots for future advanced aircraft and would also give Serbia a fighter capability to defend her air space.

“Or perhaps an F-22 or even a Tardis or three… they could go back and win every war they ever lost…”

I don’t know why your posts are always cocky and worthless. If Austria can purchase 24 Typhoon fighters I do not know why Serbia would not be able to purchase these aircraft in the future like I posted. How do you know what relations will be like in 2010 or 2015?

On another point if people live in a country that don’t even field an air force then I don’t think that person should be able to post on an Air Force web forum. Especially when their posts are just cocky remarks that try to belittle everyone just to help their ego.

    My $.02

    1) Do what almost every country is doing that operates the Mig-29. Junk them or try to find another country dumb enough to buy them. They are worthless.

    2) Junk the Mig-21 fleet

    3) Upgrade the J-22 fleet

    4) Upgrade the G-4 fleet

    6) Try to become a program partner in the MAKO aircraft project. This aircraft can carry everything from the AIM-9L Sidewinder, the ASRAAM, the MICA, and the AMRRAM for the air defense role and Maverick, dumb bombs, smart bombs, anti-ship missiles, and standoff cruise missiles like the TAURUS.

    7) In the future when money is made available compliment the MAKO with a Multi role fighter such as the Typhoon T.3 or an upgraded Rafale.
