to the starboard of the island

The 76mm cannon would fit there or some VLS cells but I don’t think you will get both to fit in that location. I do like the idea of internal NSM launchers but there would have to be exhaust channels for the missiles.

A VLS and 76mm gun!!! Maybe add some NSM…

Where would you add these items?

With a few deck edge extensions you could add a proper SAM system. Or at least a CIWS.

    What type and where?

Doesn’t look like there’s room for many helicopters though.

Two landing platforms. See pic below.

    The information is wrong.

Wow, I am very shocked that Airforce-technology.com would publish incorrect information.

that means almost all the sold off airframes had to be the B model.

Who would be interested in that many B models?? Is it possible Airforce-technology.com got this information wrong??

What other helicopters were in consideration?? I think the NATO compatible Polish W-3 would be a good choice to be the building block for the Afghans. It would also be good for Poland who has deployed a lot of troops to Afghanistan and Iraq since 2001.

Embraer already has 54 orders for its newest project, the KC-390. The plane did not take off and there are already buyers. The list of countries are:

It is easy to place an order when the project is still on paper. Just look at all the orders for the A400 and Typhoon when they were at prototype stage. I think this will be a good transport and I hope all of these orders will proceed but I bet some of these orders will be either canceled or reduced.

Why don’t we just unilaterally disband the entire US military, eh? That will save lots of money!

That is what the UK is doing. :dev2: But seriously what a stupid post. No one is saying to disband the military. The Marine Corps is a redundant service and the USA military would LOSE nothing if the service was disbanded. I know the Corps has a long and strong history with the USA but it is a redundant service and should be disbanded IMO to save money.

    Kill off the Corps

How much money would the USA save a year by eliminating the Corps all together???? The Army does the same training as the Marine Corps so it seems redundant to pay for both.

Which Southeast Asian country ordered 5 ships with Deawoo?

Please be the Philippines. Their navy is so obsolete and they really need new ships.
