is it me or does that herc lack much in the way of markings?

All I can see is ‘USAF 44859’ on the tail and ‘4859’ on the nose.

    Brian you should have stayed!!:rolleyes::D

    STAYED 😮

The roads had turned into rivers and it was interesting watching the hail stones shatter and splatter all over the windscreen of the bus 😀

    Has it reached Duxford yet?

At 16.00 an almighty storm dumped itself on Duxford with thunder/lightning/hail stones/rain. It cleared up enough to get from Hanger 5 to main entrance but then it started up again at 16.45, just as the bus turned up, with all of the above being dumped on Duxford again and most of the way into Cambridge.

    Hi Brian,

Latest news: The Vimy is scheduled to depart Galway at 09:00a and arrive at Fairoaks at around 13:00a. She will depart Fairoaks for Duxford somewhen later that afternoon with a flypast at Brooklands on route.
All above allowing for weather and serviceability.

Hope to see some of You there? (or there, or there!!)

    Cheers

    Many thanks.

I’ll be there, at Duxford, tomorrow and hopefully it’ll arrive before the museum closes.:D

Wonderful! When I lived a few miles from Northolt they only ran the families day once and stopped! I really want to make one of them.

Nice photos. Who owns the helicopter ‘that doesnt exist’ ?

Did the spitfire do a flypast? I only ask as I saw it fly over my house in Milton Keynes heading south at about 3:15pm and I believe the BBMF time table stated a 3:30pm flypast at Northolt.

If I told you who owned ‘that’ helicopter, then some people from Hereford would have to come out and kill you:D

The Spitfire did a display for the opening of Northolts Officer Mess after massive refurbishment.

I use ‘Photo Ratio’. Keeps the cropped image the same ratio as the original image

Brian do you do much PP after because I have been to the same meets as you in the past and your shots are always so much more sharper and colourful than mine:mad:

As ever great shots mate !!

    Errr, Yes.:D

I use Adobe Elements 7 and a work flow that seems to work for the basic images I get from my camera which is 14.1 mp.

Apart from re-sizeing to 800, this is the image straight from the camera

    and the processed image.

I can only agree with other comments, these are some of the best pictures i have seen posted. Please share your secret with the forum, what type of camera do you use, and are you an experienced photographer with tips you can share. These are just great – all credit to you and thanks for posting.

There is no secret. I use a Sony Alpha 350 and belong to the point and shoot brigade. All the inside shots were taken with the camera set on ‘AUTO’, I let it do all the working out, and the Jpeg images are processed in Elements 7.
