Sorry to say this frank but in the UK the project is very much alive and kicking and working well. Scottish Power is currently doing tests, they have run a test in sctoland for a few months now with a lot of success and are looking to trial it in other aeras.

The only costly part of it is connecting the power network to the internet backbone, but this should be esaily overcome by having a box at an ISP so you supply power to them and get a net connection back.

I am looking forward to having this, as it offers speeds far in excess of what we have in the UK now, and allow communities on the net to florish much more easily.

    Steve,

Do you have a hotmail account or a .net passport if so your half way there. All you need to do is this :

    1) Install CFS2 and any other aircraft you want to fly
    2) Goto http://zone.msn.com
    3) Scroll down the page and click on the section entitled “CD-Rom Required
    4) Select Combat Flight Simulator 2: WWII Pacific Theater from the list on the left
    5) Skip the add
    6) This will then load the CFS2 game room
    7) Select Midway under the standard rooms
    8) It will ask you for your hotmail account or a .net passport enter these details and login, you may have to specify you handle as well
    9) It will ask you to download and install some game zone software, you need to do this to play on the zone.

This is where my help comes to an end unfortunatly. Having never played CFS2 over the Zone i am unsure what happens after you have installed the software, but im sure the other member can fill in the rest.

    Simmer,

Im not defective i was under the impression FF was standard practice in war 😉

I saw the same programme but have my own thoughs on how it was “achieved”

Although they said they were in mid-flight i dont think they were. As I have not been on a A320 i dont know how silent the engines are, but I certainly didnt hear any engine noise, plus all the shutters on the windows were down, i know it was a night flight but some people would have the shutters open.

So i think they were sitting on a patch of tarmac at the orgin airport but i may be wrong.

    GarryB,

I know 3dfx no longer support the cards, as nVidia bought them out, but VoodooFiles is a site that holds a listing of 3rd party drivers.

If you click 3dfx (3rd Party) then click List All Results at the bottom of the page and do Find for Voodoo2 you will find some DX 8 drivers.

Here is the link to the files http://www.voodoofiles.com/7540 with that you should be able to play DX 8 games on your Voodoo 2

With Codename Eagle i never realled worried about diff ammo etc, i just have it for the MP fun. But with Battlefield 1942 about its a replacement for it, even though someone made a Codename Eagle mod for BF1942. You should see how well the Zeplin loops 🙂
