Si, great pics, what time were you down this morning? I was there doing my Instrument Rating Skill Test today, you didn’t get any photos of a Seneca by any chance? 😉

Nice shot Si, I got up close and personal to her yesterday when I taxied past her after shooting some Instrument Approaches at Filton.
    Who are Air Comet exactly?

:edited: ignore, I just read NewForest’s Wikipedia post

Just relax, very difficult to do and easy to say I know but relax, I guarantee once you are airborne you will relax anyway, because you will be doing the thing you are trained to do.
Another thing is don’t get hung up on a 1st time pass, it’s not the end of the world to partial your test, don’t lay the world on passing first time, because the expectation of yourself could lead you to make a mistake, remember it isn’t the most important thing in the world, your family are the most important thing in the world.
As Paul has already said you can set a good impression in the first 10 minutes, then the examiner will relax and think, “yeah this chap knows what he’s doing”.

So stay positive, you can pass, your instructor wouldn’t have put you forward if he didn’t think you can do it, and you don’t even have to fly your best to pass, relax, enjoy it and good luck 😉

Correct, and the handling ATCO can then pass you to 121.5 if he sees fit

No worries, give me a shout if you need to know how to do it, and remember this is the “track” to the airport, not the “heading”, the heading will be the track + / – wind 🙂

    No worries

but obviously if your site becomes more “commercial” bias then we may have to review the postings, but I’m sure that won’t happen 😉

This seems to be one of the only outstanding issues we haven’t looked at, again please bear with me, I’ve only had ½hr to come on and answer some queries that I haven’t dealt with, I have my IR skill test on Wednesday, once that is out the way I’ll have lots of spare time on my hands to sort it out

    Rgds
