I think it was just 2 James, it’s generally on this time of year on ITV but hasn’t shown up for the last 2 seasons, shame because I thought it was quite popular, it’s on HTV West (which is obviously ITV) here in the West Country so I am not sure if it’s on ITV national, if a new series comes along I’ll give you a shout, I can even throw the series onto DVD for people if they wish 🙂

It’s just a shame that program focuses on airport operations and not more of the flying side of things, good all the same, shame they only made 2 series of it (unless I’ve missed any)

I agree with all comments made on the 50 characters front and even more so with PMN’s observation on the mods of this forum…

    I just smile and knod… smile and knod… 🙂

Maybe you should put your squeaky clean & perfect personality up for moderator? 🙂 seriously though, if you have an issue with a moderator or the 50 character sig issue then you know the score, take it up with the webmaster 🙂

Personally I see nothing wrong with speculation as long as it’s not libellous, this is a discussion forum, people will discuss and debate things, much the same as you would down the pub, there is technically no difference.

Now please keep this on topic, any more diatribes and petty bickering and the thread will have to close

I am away for a week from tomorrow on hols but may get chance later tonight, if not then when I get back, if you have not got skype ignore :p

If the nosewheel was raised, that would mean its passed the safest speed you can abort a takeoff, and that would mean you would have had to gone into the air.

You sure the nose went up?

Airline Ops Procedures are different, but technically this may not be correct under some circumstances, by this I mean that yes V1 will always be called before VR but V1 can be more than VR technically, this has to then be restricted to VR, so V1 can never be greater than VR, but you have a situation where you can stop if you aborted at rotate even though it is forbidden, this is why on some TV programs you hear the PNF call “V1………………………………rotate” or “V1…Rotate” generally this would happen on larger runways where V1 can be considerably higher than VR, another factor is VMCG, V1 must be greater than VMCG. V1 can also be restricted by Vmbe, V1 should not be higher than Vmbe or you will not stop in the event of an aborted t/o even if you are below V1
