They haven’t given any routes, all they have given is the equipment they are “planning” to use, and when they are going “live”, plus the base, if this forum was full of their routes etc then yes I’d say you are right 🙂

Ah, the old jump from ATR42 to B733 trick ! 😮 AND in less than a year.

And from there to B787 or A380 & world domination.

There’s as much chance of this “taking off” as van Nistelrooy has of being Man U’s greatest ever goal scorer.

    ie. NONE.

Stick to boy racing. You’re making this up as you go along.

    Richard

And by what do you base your opinions on? seems a bit of a bold statement to make by saying Mr Brown is making it up as he goes along, can you back up your statement? if not I suggest you retract it

Why would the owner of a legitimate airline give all the details away on a forum?

    I’m still VERY uncovinced!

To me that’s not all the details, he has given a brief overview, as we are all interested in commercial aviation and this is a forum of a reputable publisher then I’d say it’s a good place to divulge details

We will be using an ATR-42 until 27th October 2007 then we are looking in to the Boeing 737-300 and expanding the route network.

And what about low houred fATPL First Officers? what will be your recruitment strategy regarding flight crew? are you planning on attending any recruitment seminars for potential pilots to learn more about you and your requirements? will they need to be type rated before applying?, obviously I am aware that the details will be released when you feel the time is ready but I wanted to know if you have any up front information

It was interesting yesterday whilst watching the Aircrash Investigation program about the Little Rock crash, the NTSB set about monitoring flight activity when thunderstorms were present, and I think it was 80% of planes opted to fly through them whilst evidently every pilot knows the inherant dangers of doing so, glad to see that is not happening here in the UK

A sad story, some of us will recall the Staines BEA Trident crash caused by the captain’s demise at the controls…

Indeed Ren, as you know there was alot more to that story, like the autocratic captain and the inexperienced 1st officer, thank goodness for CRM nowadays

Tragic indeed, brings a chill down my spine every time I see this sort of thing, makes me wonder why I am doing it, my biggest fear is not me dying, but leaving my 2 young daughters without a dad and the fact that they would never really know who I was 🙁

May God hold you both in his hands, RIP

I always liked Sydney depending on the rwy of course. Great views of all the landmarks etc.

And dependant on which side the aircraft you are sat :p

Sydney is great but I found London to be the best, an evening departure for Australia from rwy 27L saw us swing round to the north before turning east to give fantastic views of London lit up like a Christmas tree, in my humble opinion you can’t beat that
