happy birthday Rob, it now says 40, (yeah right **cough**** 😀 )
Excellent rich, have a great time whilst you’re over there, I have been to Oz 3 times and the flights do get easier, I think eastbound, flying to Hong Kong then to Oz is one of the longest ways, but I guess when you get to go again it’ll be easier because you will know what to expect and you will be more prepared, keep us informed on how its going

Nice work Blue
Bit of a grey area Blue but I’m pretty sure it’s commercial advertising that’s not allowed, this may be deemed to be that because the lad is looking for free flight hours, I’m in discussion with another mod at the mo 🙂
Well it does not take Einstein to work out a certain Mr pilotmtnbkr was directed here by a certain individual
Edited to say Read below, Blue knows what he’s talking about 😀
I’m sure the AF Emb Captain was saying “what’s that THAI fokker done to my Emb?” 😀 (boom boom)
On the other hand the 747 may just have sliced through the 145’s tail.
Or the 145 taxied through the Jumbo’s wing.
Hard to tell…
No that hard, the damage to the 744 winglet is at the front, which would indicate the 744 taxied into the Embraer, the only other way would be if the Emb was pushing back but then there would not have been enough force and the push-back driver (is that what they’re called lol?) would have seen it and been liable, would love to have been a fly on the wall at the meeting with the chief pilot 😀
Matt
I can understand why you did it but please try not to drag up threads that are 2½ years old, there is a thread already running about that terrible accident here
Hi Dave
Welcome to the forum, enjoy your stay 😉
aj, I think the picture you posted would have been after the emergency services had cut the tail section off to get the poor lad out, like has already been said it’s best not to speculate what happened until the AAIB have investigated but it looks like a spin, as to why it may have been let’s leave that up to those who know’s best.

Yes, read it on PPRuNe last night, as one poster said, it makes my blood run cold thinking about it
