Mate give some notice fella, pick a date and then we can discuss routes etc here, people will be more inclined to do it if we know about it in advance, Saturdays are particularly bad for me

    What’s Sandown like for windsheer?
I went to Bembridge for the 2nd time on Tuesday last week and landing was a nightmare again, 50ft over the threshold and the stall warner was going off even with +10kts cushion http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/contrib/sarge/Yikes_anim.gif this was on rwy 30, coming in on rwy 12 last time I flew in there was equally as bad, had 2 go arounds, the horror.

Don’t stress mate, it really depends on how your examiner feels on the day, he may ask you 3 questions, he may ask you 10, I certainly didn’t answer all mine correctly, you will find that you wil be able to give constructive answers to most, as long as you don’t say anything pathetically miles out then you will be fine, make sure you read the POH of the plane your flying and know a few technical aspects, most questions I got asked were.

what’s the minimum amount of oil this plane should hold?
what should you do if you have no ampage output?
if you had an altinator failure how long will the battery last?
what type of engine has this plane got?
what type of elevator is on this plane?

All basic stuff really, just brush over your airplane technical books, and clue up on things in the POH and you will be fine, your instructor may not even ask questions like that, he may ask you a couple of MET questions, and again as long as you don’t say something like flying into CB’s is fine you will be fine.
Just relax, take your time to answer, don’t feel rushed into answering any questions.

I bet you do it 😉

    Good luck mate

Indeed what has been said above is right, whether you choose to log your time as decimals or minutes is your personal choice, personally I log decimals, 0.1 being 6 minutes etc, round up if its over 3 minutes, and down if under, it all works itself out in the end.

No, you need external voice comms for FS2002, try Roger Wilco, TeamSpeak2 or Ventrillo

You need a little program called Active Camera, just do a search for it, it used to be freeware but is now payware, not sure how much it is though.
The Payware aircraft on the market do not give you a wing view by default, PMDG, PSS, etc only view the back of the cockpit when pressing your NUMPAD keys, Active Camera should sort you out

That’s a good point actually. But you can go on an airliner when you’re pregnant can’t you???

    LOL Moggy

I guess when you go on an airliner when you’re pregnant you’re not part of the aircrew 😉

Great shots Andrew, but how did you get the airside shots without actually being airside? I thought the chainlink fence would stop any decent photos
