    You’re right EGTC. Those are the pre-landing checks conducted downwind.

    As for the cooling down procedure, leave the engine running for several minutes? Who taught you this? It’s a PA-28, we only allow 30 seconds in a Q400 which has been running at 660°c for the last 2hrs.
    I still do instructing, and my students are always taught as per the AOM. What does it say in yours UKAVIATOR? It won’t be “several” minutes that’s for sure.

    Ok, as it looks then, the South Coast Airports have been fogged out all week. Maybe the DHL had a technical issue and had to return to EMA as this would be a maintenance base.

    The Jet2 was probably one of the ChanEx flights trying to get back into Exeter. They have 2 cargo 733s based there. Looks like he’s holding overhead the EX for the weather to clear. What time was this flight? The weather has been foggy in Exeter in the mornings, and on the South Coast for 2 days running now.
