And there it is. You dont care about anybody other than yourself. Simply put you are epitome of selfish.

I hope one day you need an organ and are refused so that a corpse can be preserved to rot naturally.

    ROFL 😀

You clearly have no children, so to that I would say you haven’t got a clue what you’re talking about.

    I’m HAPPY to disappoint you

If somebody requires one of my surplus organs they are welcome to it. So no hypocrosy from me at all.

There is hypocrisy, because you obviously feel so strong about it as to argue with me because I won’t let anyone cut up my kids, again if you feel that strongly you would have offered your kidney as a donation already, just as you dictated to me that if I felt strongly against it I’d opt out? Oh the irony.
What about all those poor people dying in africa? they’re dying because of a self centred Western World (another thread for this debate please), there’s enough food & wealth in this world for everyone, have you given your “spare” cash to help those dying children? Do you give food to the homeless? See whilst you’re sat up there on your righteous tree you’re basically all talk 😡

By the way do you have children?

Surely though, there is some hypocrosy to your desire to preserve the state of a lifeless corpse whilst allowing the living to whither and die?

Don’t make me laugh, so my right to refuse my kids organs makes me a hypocrite? You can’t handle that can you? Who do you think you are telling me my kids organs should be removed to help the living? It’s none of your business. Quite frankly where my kids are concerned I couldn’t give a toss about anyone else. Selfish? That’s up for debate, bothered? Talk to someone who cares.

If you ‘forget’ or ‘dont get round to it’ then you obviously do not feel strongly enough about the issue anyway. If you feel that strongly about it you will remember and find the time.

Well if you feel that strongly about it, and you obviously think I am callous & ignorant because I won’t allow them to chop up my kids why don’t you go a step further and donate one of your good kidneys? You only need one afterall……….. You don’t want to do it? Why not? Personally I find your attitude callous and ignorant for denying someone a life 😡 now who’s the hypocrite? http://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/sign/sign0053.gifhttp://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/sign/sign0053.gifhttp://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/sign/sign0053.gif

A step down from organ donation: blood donation. I personally think that everyone who can: should have to.

& whatever happened to free will & democracy, to sit there and type that everyone should have to is just the type of attitude that really ********s me off. You shouldn’t “have” to do anything, what is this? Iraq?
Why should I give blood? (I can’t because of my job) Why should my children be made to give blood? Just because they can? Come on, get real.

Absolutely, if you are that ignorant and callous that you feel the need to keep your organs after you cease to have a use for them then you will be passionate enough to opt out prior to the point at which someone will have the right to remove them anyway.

So because I don’t want “them” cutting up my children should anything happen to them that makes me callous & ignorant? Maybe it is from planet sealord but where I come from I call that a right. On a personal level, they can do what they want to me, but my kids? That’s a whole different ball game. If that makes me callous & ignorant in your eyes then too bad.

Look at the opt out scheme another way. Assume one was “meant” to opt out the kids but they forgot, or didn’t get round to it. Then something happened to them, and during the time you then tell “them” that in no way do you want any organs removed. Will they then have the right to say “sorry, they haven’t got an opt out card, we can take what we like” ? That would be my worst nightmare come true.

As a finish note, please don’t turn this thread into a pro religion – anti religion war, it’s not what it’s about, start another thread if that’s what you want to discuss 😉

This is rather a moot subject.

Personally I don’t mind being the hypocrite, for instance, should my child need an organ I would be desperate for a donor. I’d also be pro opt out etc. But should something happen to one of my daughters (God forbid), then the thought of them cutting her up to give her organs to someone else fills me with rage.

Can’t change the way I feel, so for this, opt in is my vote.

To be honest Paul I have no idea, personally I think if it’s illegal around the airport perimeter then I see no difference listening in a hotel car park a few hundred yards away or in one’s home a few miles away.

It is illegal, now as to why people don’t get arrested draw your own conclusions, Police are ignorant? Police turn a blind eye? Police have more pressing matters to deal with? Face it, not even high court judges know every law of the land.

Just because the police doesn’t act doesn’t make it a legality.
