The Bedstead and the Shorts SC1 are both in the Welcome Wing in the Science Museum. The Bedstead handing up and the SC1 is on the wall. When I get home tomorrow I”ll post some photos.
That’s great news I’ve always had a soft spot for the Victor, will be nice to see it back in good condition!
A true legend has left us, it’s time to celebrate his extraordinary life and achievements in Aviation. It is and will always be the ultimate pilot!
He will be missed. Rest in peace Eric.
Never thought I’d see this formation, really makes you appreaciate the Storch! taken at the Wings & Wheels show at Old Walden
If the Hellcat and F-86 are leavng these shore it is a shame, but it makes me appreciate seeing them grace the skies even more! Growing up I never thought I see either fly at all let alone once!
If the Hellcat is leaving TFC it makes me wonder what could be gracing the skies over Duxford in the near future? the Fiat CR.42… the P-40C that was apprantly TFC’s at Chino…. something no one has thought about! With the few departures recently leaving TFC there must be something new in the skies in the near future I would hope!
It is a shame the P-40B is leaving the country but lest be honest with it history, it was always going to head back to the US at some point!
Indeed it is my favourite aircraft of the TFC fleet, but with as much as I don’t want to loose it, I can’t wait to see what ever comes next .. a Fiat CR.42 maybe!
If TFC are reducing in sixe, it makes you even moer grateful for what we have seen!
Thanks to everyone at TFC, not forgetting the boss!!!
Great News!!
The Hurricane seems to be the forgotten brother of the Spitfire.
Would be nice to have a show dedicated to the Hurricane like the 1 back in 1996 for the Spitfire, the only problem I would fear the numbers of Hurris around!!

Thanks Jack, good to here there staying here!:)
Wouldn’t be a bad idea to add a Harrier to the Historic Flight as it is an important aircraft, but I fear the costs to do so would be too much!
Smon, unless it was in the Carrier Experience (didn’t have time) the Phantom from Leuchars, it’s not visable at the museum, could it be accross the road in Cobbam Hall? or again is it the Navy’s and on the liveside somewhere?
The next arrivals from Lambeth will be …
After attending the Autum airshow earlier this month I was wondering what the state of play was at the IWM Lambeth site, so this weekend I popped in for a quick look.
1. The Camel and BE2c were sitting side by side waiting to be united with their wings at Duxford

2. Sitting close by was the HE-162

3. Leaving the FW-190, P-51 and Spitfire

The WW1 Duo & He-162 would more than likly head up to Duxford fairly shortly I would like to think.

Currently waiting departure
After going to the autum Airshow at Duxford and seeing the items that have arrived from Lambeth, I wondered what the state of play was regards to the aircraft was.
So I made a quick visit to the IWM Lambeth and found the Camel and BE2c standing wingless side by side, with the HE-162 sitting on some supports on the floor behind some barriers (making taking photos harder than you like), waiting for the trip to Duxford.
Leaving the 190, Mustang waiting there turn to return to the ground.
Hope you like the attached photos
