    SIGNING EVENT

Further to the early post with regard to the signing vouchers.

Due to the amount of Interest already shown in respect of the Signing Event and the volume of Enthusiasts likely to attend.

It has been decided to cap the amount of items that a customer can have signed at any one visit.

This will be a maximum of 3 items per visit, however there is no limit to the amount of times they can go round.

This decision was made in the hope that it may allow those Enthusiasts and the General public attending a fair chance to get their items signed.

    EVENT UPDATE

Flight Lieutenant Bob Nawarski has agreed to attend.

He flew Hurricanes with 303 Squadron in 1940 before being hurt in a Flying Accident.

In 1941 after recovery he was posted to 302 Squadron where he flew Spitfires. Later he was posted to 58 O.T.U. for a spell as an Instructor on Spitfires.

In 1942 he was posted to 316 Squadron where he flew Spitfire VB’s, then in 1943 another period of Instructing this time with 61 O.T.U.

Then in 1944 he joined 302 Squadron and flew Spitfire Mk 9’s on Escort duties and also flew over the D-Day Beaches.

    Signing Vouchers

    Hi Denis.

With regard to your question, which i understand could be confusing, i will try to explain.

The signing fee is £20 for this the customer is given one Voucher.

This Voucher then allows the customer to have one item signed
(i.e. Book, Print, etc) by all Veterans taking part in the Signing Event.

However should a customer only want say Spitfires Pilots to sign their item (there may only be 8 attending) the fee would still be £20 for the Voucher.

Likewise their may only be say 6 Battle of Britain Veterans taking part the fee would still be £20.

I hope that these examples help towards explaining the situation.

With the chances of over 30 Veterans attending who flew various Aircraft types and also flew in many different threatres,we felt it would be very difficult to separate the Veterans onto different tables.

So it was felt that the above idea would be the fairest, giving the customer the choice to have all the Veterans sign their item or be able to select those they required.

I hope this helps, should you want more information please let me know.

    Hi DCK.

The only Entrance onto the Airfield is via the Control Tower entrance and then follow the peri-track round until you reach the Hangars.

At this point you will arrive at the Entrance point for the Event, pay your entrance fee and then hopefully enjoy the day.

If i can be of further help please feel free to contact me.

    Best wishes
