Thanks for info!
I think I had better start getting my hands on some more media cards as I think I’ll need them!
Thanks Anne, thats another one added to my growing list! Not heard of a B-29 over there, but if there is I wanna see it!
Your point being? RIAT has been doing this for years!
Dont forget to check the buildings behind hanger 4 where you will find a few bits and bobs including a Lysander!
There are some shots on my website http://www.outflankeduk.com just use the Duxford tab
The Midlands Air Festival have quite a few model balloons attend, I don’t recall them wearing registration marks though.
The photo of the suspended Gugnunc is from one of the London museums. I can’t remember if it was the science museum or on loan to another one but I do remember going to see it.
It might be the last flight of a military one but they are coming onto the civil scene. Wieland aviation in Australia have 3 ex German ones.
No original Dr.1’s survived as far as I know so it must be a replica
It certainly looks like the one. thankyou!
Spotted whilst at the Great Dorset Steam Fair, Blandford Forum on the 27/08/22 was a yellow Stearman with a blue tail, red fuselage and numbered 02. Any ideas?
The Hind and Cadet I can understand as they haven’t been on display for ages, but the Avenger I really don’t see the logic in that!
Great pics! Does anyone have more info on the Stearmans in the ARCo hanger, there were 4 in there on Saturday including the one shown above.
Havard, possibly ‘Wacky Wabbit’ over Redditch heading South at 17.50
It’s been standard practice for a while now to ground the type after an accident and not just in the UK. The Reds flew today but it was just a transit flight from Valley back to Scampton.
‘all new fuselage, wings, cowling, horizontal stabiliser & rudder as well as all new landing gear’ a bit like Trigger and his broom then!
