I dont think the goverment have much choice, it has already been annouced that the retirement has been delayed as one is down to display at RIAT in the flying display and the Voyager is a pile of poop! My contact at Brize has told me that they are not going to be used in the passenger role at all and they will be pure tankers.

I was talking to a guy based at Brize and the retirment has been put back and the Tristars might be getting a update.
acording to him the Airbus is a load of crap and far from ready, hence the delay in the retirment.
    Dont shoot the messenger lol

I’ve lived in Redditch (around 18 miles from Brum)since 1980 and I remember these stories from then so it really is old news. I was always told that it was engines and parts and not whole airframes. With all the constant rebuilding over the whole of Brum I would be surprised if anythings left.

Does anybody have a list as to what historics were there for the airshow. I think I went in 1990 and 1991. I remember seeing a few Spitfires and the Mosquito.

TFC got rid of the twins because Steven is not allowed to fly them!

I thought that TFC had to cancel the Zero coming from the States for Flying Legends a few years ago due to problems with the CAA

That might be why it seemed to have undercarrage problems and didnt display. When it was over the back of the airfield it did at least one loop with the gear down!

did anybody get the serial of the Apache? On my shots only the letters are visable.

Could be but I have seen a routine with the airbreak stuck out and the pilot said it didn’t really effect the aircraft!
