Don’t forget we may still see the odd Griffon ( I know its not vintage!) about under the BAe Systems banner, but how does this effect the historic flight? are they grounded?

I have been following this thred with interest as I am after a new camera as well. I have decided to go for the Cannon 30D.
What I would like to know is what lens to go for. I use a sigma 500 on my Minolta at the moment and would like to know if there is an equivelent for the cannon?

Great shots!
The only critique is that some of the shots could be cropped a bit tighter. For instace the little bi-plane is lost in the shot and the two helicopters are to far over to the right. Squareing up the shot just makes it a bit easier on the eye and more impressive. Just think what a shot the F-15 taking off will be without the forground.
Also the bird shot is to dark (is it a Kite?)
Hope this helps

I agree it was definatly freighted in and not flown. I have done some digging and its BF109G-2 (converted from a Bouchon) D-FWME.
Anybody know if this is the one they keep as static or will it be returned to flying?

One appeared at the Royal International Air Tattoo in 2003 in the static display. Not sure which one it was though.

Another one of the ever increasing number of vintage aircraft that stop off in the UK then cross the “pond” never to be seen in the flesh again, it does p**! you off a bit don’t it!!!!
Im totaly gutted after all there are only 2 or 3 in this country! Now if we could only get a Pearl Harbor P40 Warhawk………hold on we have, from where? Across the pond! So no it certainly doesn’t !!!!

I must admit its great to see a genuine 109 but i would rather see a Bouchon than nothing at all. The shape is almost identicle apart from the nose and the display at last years Legends was very impressive.

Dont forget you also get a free flight line walk at legends as well!
I normally rejoin at one of the airshows as it is easyer than using the post and cheque and I think it is at a discounted price(£10).

I received the same flyer today. Probably the Duxford Buchon but could be the EADs one, although I think this is a re-engined Buchon anyway!

Great shots!
I always use shutter priority for my shots. I use 250 for props and 500 or above for jets. If you are taking shots of aircraft taking off or landing then use 250 for jets as this will blur the background and give more of an impression of speed. Panning with the aircraft is essential for this to work well.
Hope this helps.

Sorry for the mix up!
The initial message stated a F-104 but it does appear to be a L-39.
Still a great shame no matter what the type is.
