Might that have been the TG aviation one that crashed into the sea during the Eastbourne airshow a few years ago killing the pilot ?
That was an L-29 Delfin not an Iskra. As far as I know there have never been a civil Iskra flying in the UK

Hi Phill
I am lucky enough to have a little inside knowledge since I am on the Mossie project with Glyn Powell here in Auckland NZ.
We were contacted thru AV specs to Quote on the restoration of Paul’s T3 TV959 and it was recommended that the wing be re-built during the restoration as it had been cut just outboard of the R/H engine nacelle for display in the IWM while it was suspended from the ceiling. Rebuilding the wing would have resulted in considerable cost and it appears that a business down in the south island of NZ has quoted a cheaper price to repair the wing instead, which would be quite hard I should amagine.
The hull is apparently in good condition with only minor transit damage so the aircraft may well be restored here in NZ, only catch for Paul is there are not too many places set up to do Mossie restorations at the present time!
Thanks for the info.
I remember seeing the wing in the corner of the TFC hanger at Duxford,it was there for years! I got a glimps of the fusalarge as well before it left. I think this will be a long and costly rebuild, but if anyone can afford he can:D

I always shoot on full auto or shutter priority. To stop frozen props I always shoot at a shutter spead of 250 or less for jets 500 or above. Panning is also essencial and shooting large aircraft at airports is an ideal place to hone this skill.

Is that issue still on sale? if so I think I will track it down

Just incase you didn’t know, the 400d is £350 on tesco direct. 😉
About half the price of the 30d, then again it is a better camera. Nice to have a bit of money to put to lenses though.
Yeah saw that and was very tempted indeed! Still if I keep on trying to decide then I will never get around to buying one:D
Time to get into the loft and start ebaying;)
