I just dont get it ! Why is Flying Legends such a target? This is easly the best vintage airshow in Europe and as for the display being to far from the crowd, I suggest getting a spot by the tank museum….believe me at times it will make you want to duck!
The main thing that enthusiasts must remember is that the majority of the crowd IS the general public and not enthusiasts. This means that catering,market,fair and sposership must be used to give people who dont want to walk around an airfield for hours before the flying starts something to do.
As for the cost ok its expensive but compare what you get for your money agaist a football match. This is the only spectator ‘sport’ that attracks bigger crowds.
To avoid the car park ques….get there early!!!! I dont know any major event airshow or otherwise that does not have this problem.
The only way to attract a bigger crowd is unfortunatly to grab the general public as going by the messages on this site most so called enthusiasts hate airshows unles they can park outside and watch it for free! Another reason for price increases!!

Its all a bit worrying but TFC are already in hanger 2. I suppose they could build a new hanger for the flyers although no doubt they would have to pay for it themselfs!
I dont think that they would force the other organisations out as they are a major pull and a whole airshow on there doorstep!!

I dont think you will get a C-130 line up at RIAT but there might be some interesting stuff celebrating the USAF 60th aniversary. They have already got the Thunderbirds display team!
Heres hoping for some other heritage flight guys comming over as well as Glacier girl.

I thought it was the French(Airbus) who owned the design authority!
The last I heared they had withdrew this authority with no itention of reinstating it and so the Concord will never fly again. 🙁
