Thanks, fingers crossed i might be there!
what time does it start/end?
No respect?, he gave up his chance to join the formation so a veteran could go up instead!
Is this at Sywell?
I used to love Sean Moffats commentary, but there are only so many times a man can mention the Derry turn, he’s obsessed with them! I also don’t like the way he’s blaming the air industry for the end of the Vulcan without telling the whole story. As mentioned at Cosford he was making mistake after mistake. As for the jabbering French guy from Legends, well he’s just getting worse and worse. this year everything came about because of the French and I’m surprised he didn’t try and make the Spitfire a French design!
Brendon O’brian is always fun and I do like the latest Duxford line with Ben Dunnel. I remember the Turkish Stars commentator with fondness he was totally bonkers and so funny!
These are cheap knock off kits so I would take the box scale and the kits with a pinch of salt. The Airfix vehicles have been packaged as both scales over the years and apparently the difference between the two scales is a few mm or less
They are only normally in the static park when they appear at airshows although I have seen them do flypasts in the past but I cant remember seeing them put on a display routine, I might be wrong on this as its been sometime since they have done a show.
Am I the only one who can’t stand the new B-25 nose art? I know its from a documented WWII aircraft but it just looks dull and stupid. Personally I loved the old scheme and wished they has kept it as it was.
You could try the quick build series from Airfix they are Lego style bricks but look really great and are the right shape!
Thanks for the info!
Hunstanton today around 12.50 high flying P-51 could make out H and F on the fusalarge, checker board nose and yellow rudder. 1ish BBMF baby spit put on some amazing and low flypasts at the kite festival.
Heacham around 3 Havard, silver with USAF markings. It also had the radar? dome behind the cockpit. It did quite a few circuits over the beach.
Any ideas on the id’s of the P-51 and Havard?
Probably the Bronco and 2 Skyvans on their way to Fairford
It was the closest I have ever seen the Vulcan display! On its first run in I couldn’t even fit the whole plane in with my lens set to 100mm, talk about Valcanised ears!
I assume the one he is giving to Duxford will be grounded as well, such a waste!
Legends is run by TFC and not the museum so that’s probably why.
